Ch.7 A story about divorce

                                    

                                          
Captain Cold sees Josh working on the prototype wand.
"Hey Josh" Captain Cold said.
"Hey Snart" Josh said as he focusses on the wand.
"Still working on the wand?" Captain Cold asked.
"Yeah it's pretty weird this is old tech that my uncle used to build the very first weather wand" Josh said.
"Well I kept it around for all these years just in case if you came into the Rogues" Captain Cold said.
"What do you mean?" Josh asked.
"Well I always knew about you. Years ago I found out that your dad was married and had you. I also know about his divorce" Captain Cold said.
"Yeah they divorced when I was 8" Josh said as he brings out a picture of himself as a little boy and his parents.
"You want to talk about it ?" Captain Cold asked as he sits down next to Josh.
"I gues it's time I tell someone what happened" Josh said with a sigh.

10 years ago,
A 9 year old Josh was watching tv with his uncle Cylde.
"Josh sweetheart can you come into the kitchen?" Josh's mother Juile calls out.
"Coming mom !"Little Josh said as he goes to the kitchen.
His parents sat at the table, little Josh sits down on the chair across from his parents. He looks at his parents who looked sad.
"What's wrong?" Little Josh said. 
"Josh we have some bad news and before we tell you I want to let you know it's not your fault" Juile said with sadness in her voice.
"I don't understand" Little Josh said.
"Josh, me and your mother are getting a divorce" Marden said.
Josh's world seemed to stop at that moment. His heart breaks.
"We still love you and nothing will change that" Juile said. 
"You can't ! I thought you loved each other !" Little Josh shouts.
"There's nothing we argue on anymore" Marden said.
"But you can live with me and your father can visit" Julie said.
"That's what you want ! That's not what i want !" Little Josh said with tears in his eyes.
"Josh, honey I know your upset" Julie said trying to come down her child.
"Please you can't splite up!" Little Josh begs.
"Josh I know this is hard for you" Julie said.
"You don't know how I feel !" Little Josh shouts.
Little Josh sits up and runs out of the house.
"Josh wait !" Juile calls out.
Little Josh runs to a bench and sits down. He buries his face into his hands and sobs. He suddenly feels a hand on his shoulder. Little Josh looks up to see Cylde sitting next to him. 
"Hey it's going to be okay" Uncle Clyde said.
"My life is over" Little Josh sobs as he hugs Uncle Cylde.
"I know it feels like it now but it gets better I should know" Uncle Clyde said.
"Your parents splite too ?" Little Josh asked as he wipes his tears.
"Yeah I was heartbroken" Uncle Clyde admits.
Little Josh hugs Uncle Cylde.
"You can stay with me as long as you want" Uncle Clyde said.
"I would like that" Little Josh said.
"Come on let's go home" Uncle Clyde said.

"So I lived with my uncle while my parents got a divorce and once in while my mom visited but it was just hard seeing her so I haven't seen her in five years" Josh explains.
"Josh I'm sorry kid" Captain Cold said.  
"It's okay I wish I had the courage to see my mom" Josh admits.
"I remember your father telling me about you learning about the divorce" 
Captain Cold said.
"Yeah I was heartbroken I don't forgive my dad for how he treated my mom" Josh said.
"I don't blame you" Captain Cold said.
Josh looks away as he continues working on the wand.
