MYRA'S POV

After feeding a few upbeat songs to my ears, I had managed to drown out the chaos of my mind under those blasting beats.

There was no use in scratching the same old wounds repeatedly and watching them bleed only for the sake to prove that the hurt had been real.

I hid behind a translucent white sheet of cloth while the background dancers prepared for my entry.

My heart thumped faster than any bullet train. The nervousness, anticipation had clinged to me like sticky bugs. Tingles danced all over my skin.

What I saw from the window of my room was just a verse of a beautiful song and now I stood in that beautiful song.

For as far I could see everything shone bewitchingly like I was in a different dreamy world altogether.

Even the air particles felt charged up, swaying around in joy. A soft melody of flutes caressed my ears.

The white sheet fell and instead, lighted up long brass lamps covered me now.

Something like magical mist clouded the logical parts of my brain. My breath turned heavier for it was only a matter of seconds before I saw him and he saw me..

"Like he would rather die than look away." Stella's words echoed in my brain causing a shiver to rippled down my spine.

Goosebumps splattered all around my body when the brass lamps scattered away from my vision and scented fog accumulated near my feet.

People's cheers and hooting ringed in my ear but all that my eyes desperately searched for was him as if he was water and I just escaped a desert.

Every ounce of stiffness in my body dissolved into nothingness when my eyes spotted him.

I could melt right there and then.

That gaze of his was enough to put off the fire in my chest and for warmth to crawl back in, a kind of warmth which bloomed flowers.

A jolt thundered in my heart when I saw him walking towards me.

Confidence and a strange kind of anticipation exhibited in the way he moved forward. I felt no less than a royalty walking down those steps.

All the eyes were on me, dozens of different gazes yet his one pair of eyes proved to be more engrossing than all of those.

My breath rose and fell slower than usual. I felt my blood pulsating at every corner of my body.

My cheeks flushed and skin heated up more with each step. It had been less than twenty hours since I saw him yet I craved his presence like it was the only thing that kept me sane. Held me safe.

Oh! I wish I could just burst into fairy dust and fly around him like air did.

The moon sat smiling in the dark sky, right beside his face. Gradually it faded away behind him as he climbed up and strangely Siddharth's eyes twinkled more than the stars.

He looked exceptionally good tonight. Whoever created him used their best tools and took their sweet time.

My eyes fell on the multi strand necklace of red beads hanging around his neck, the same exact shade of my lehenga. The smile on my face brightened further.

Who knew walking towards him would like returning to a home I never had.

My steps halted when he reached me and so did my heart. His eyes trailed down, as if caressing every inch of me, even those which I hadn't seen in years. Not just physically, but in every way.
