Charlotte walked out into the car park to find Mia waiting at her car, she'd said she wanted to pick Char up from work today and who was Charlotte to say no? As she walked over Mia looked up at her and smiled, "hi sweetheart, how was work?". Charlotte met her gaze, "exhausting, I'm so tired, I had so many children in my group being defiant today, but other than that it was good" she replied, smiling. Mia smiled back, "that's good, those little brats' parents need to teach them how to follow rules, though." Charlotte gasped, "Amelia!" 
"What? Not my fault parents can't parent properly" she replied, rolling her eyes and taking Charlotte's hand. "Ready to go?" Charlotte nodded and they both got in the car. 
Before driving off Mia hesitated, moving the key and then turning it off, looking at Charlotte, who looked back at her just as confused. "If..you're wondering why I didn't kiss you when I saw you, I really wanted to but I didn't want to make you uncomfortable when there were people around so...in case you were wondering why I didn't, it's not that I didn't want to, I just want to wait until you're ready." Mia explained hesitantly, it was the first time Charlotte had seen her even slightly vulnerable like this, besides the time they practically fucked over the phone, but that's not the point. Charlotte was elated Mia would wait for her and not rush her into anything she didn't want, she really appreciated that even if it was the bare minimum. "I appreciate that. I don't want to wait anymore." Shock spread across Mia's face. "wait what" 
"Mia just kiss me"
Mia closed the gap immediately and their lips met. Charlotte wrapped her hands around Mia's neck and Mia's were on her waist. Charlotte loved it, the feeling of Mia's lips on hers made her feel warm and comforted, much like when Mia would touch her any other time. Mia knew Charlotte was nervous to kiss her, which she was amused by because they'd had sex over the phone, and yes Charlotte was nervous then too but Mia made it known she didn't have to if she didn't want to, but it was incredible when she said yes. Now Charlotte was kissing her and Mia couldn't be happier, she really loved Char, and would stop at nothing to protect her.
After a minute Char pulled away to breathe. Mia looked at her fondly, and Charlotte returned that same look, nobody had ever made her feel as safe as Mia. Charlotte leaned over again to hug her, and Mia hugged her back. "Shall we get going baby?" Mia asked softly. "Yes please, I'm so tired" Charlotte replied giggling.
Mia kissed her forehead and started the car, and they drove off back to Mia's, both absolutely ecstatic with eachother.
