When she woke up, everything felt wrong.
The darkness was thick, almost suffocating. Her body ached, and her head throbbed with a dull pain. The hard, unforgiving floor beneath her sent a sharp chill and pain through her body, and her hands, tied tightly behind her back with ropes, and it took a moment for the room around her to come into focus. The unfamiliar surroundings sent a wave of panic crashing over her. This wasn't her home. This wasn't the small, safe apartment where she and Abhi had spent the past few weeks pretending everything was normal.

she tried to adjust her eyes to the dim light in the room, but all she could see were shadows. Her heart pounded in her chest as the cold, unfamiliar surroundings began to register.

Where am I?

The last thing she remembered was the fear, the terror as she realized she was being kidnapped. The memory of Devraj haunting presence in her apartment sent a shiver down her spine. She struggled to sit up, her muscles protesting with each movement.

This place was nothing like the home she had known. It was cold, the air thick with dampness, and the faint scent of mold. The walls were dark, the floor rough beneath her hands as she tried to push herself up. There was a single, small window, allowing only a sliver of moonlight to creep in.

She took a breath, trying to calm the panic. Abhi. Her thoughts clung to him, desperate for the comfort his name brought. He would come for her, wouldn't he? He had to. They had been through so much together, and he had always promised to protect her, no matter what.
But she forced herself to push beyond the thought, knowing that just hoping for his rescue wouldn't be enough. She had to find a way to survive on her own until he could come.

But what if he didn't know she was gone? What if he couldn't find her? What if this was it?

No. She couldn't think like that. she had to believe in herself. She had survived Devraj before, hadn't she? Escaped his clutches not once, but twice. She wiped away the tears that had begun to blur her vision, forcing herself to stay calm. Panic would do her no good now. She needed to be strong, to think clearly. She had to survive, if not for herself, then for him.

As she sat in the darkness, trying to gather her thoughts, she heard it-a soft, creak of a door opening. Her heart skipped a beat, the sound echoing through the silence like a death bell. She froze, every muscle in her body tensing as footsteps approached.

And then she saw him.

Devraj Rathore

As Devraj entered the room, her heart pounded in her chest, fear twisting her insides. But she refused to let it show. To let it make obvious that she was afraid of him.
Afraid of the man she was running from since she was 15 years old.

"Good to see you awake," he said, his voice low and smooth, laced with a cold satisfaction that made her stomach turn.

With as much strength as she could muster, she met his gaze, her voice steady despite the terror growing in her. "What do you want from me?" she demanded, trying to hide the tremor in her voice.
