Percy POV

Tony told me to stay at school for the full day. He said he had a surprise for me.

Let's just say I have no clue what happened in any of my classes today.

"Percy! PERCY WAIT UP!" Annabeth yelled.

"Can't!" I shouted as I went past the security guards' office on my skateboard.

Frank fell in next to me, running to keep up with my speed. Lacrosse must be helpful for that, he's got pretty good endurance. "Sup, Jackson! Where you headed?"

"Outside!" I turned a corner sharply and saw a crowd of people looking out the front door.

"OUT OF THE WAY!" Frank bellowed.

The crowd parted and I shot out the doors again, leaping the steps.

I saw a flash of dark hair before I ran into somebody, the two of us going one way and my skateboard going the other.

There were gasps and yells as we hit the ground and separated. I rolled onto my back and groaned, checking to see if my ribs were still intact.

"Dang, Perce....I knew...I knew you were happy to see me....but...ooooooow." A familiar voice grunted from next to me.

"Tony!" I leapt to my feet and helped my uncle up. "Dude, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!"

He nodded. "I'm fine, it's fine. Are you okay?"

I nodded.

"Bro, you just ran into THE Tony Stark!" Leo shouted from the crowd that had gathered.

Tony shrugged. "It's fine. You ready to go?"

I blinked. "I was just gonna skateboard over."

Leo managed to shove his way to the front. "How do you know Tony Stark?! Is that where you go when you don't want to hang out? Where are you going?"

"Leo! Breathe, man!" I grabbed his shoulder.

"Seriously, Jackson, let's go. I want to get back to work and you have errands to run." Tony sounded decidedly cool about the situation. I realized what he was going for.

"Sorry, sir. Jason, toss me my skateboard!" The blond tossed me said bright blue ride.

"Better not be broken, kid. I paid good money for that."

"Yes sir." I checked it. "It's fine."

Tony nodded. "Let's go then."

He turned and I saw him wince.

"Are you sure you're okay? Sir?"

"Yes." He snapped. "Get in the limo, I want to get back and have a drink."

I jogged to the limousine waiting at the corner and opened the door. "You first, sir."

Tony got in with a muttered 'thank you' that none of my classmates heard.

I turned to my gobsmacked friends and winked, catching my bag as Reyna flung it in my direction.

"Thanks RA-RA! Gotta go to work guys."

"Call me that again and I'll kill you!" She shouted at me.

"YOU WORK FOR T-" I cut Leo's scream off by closing the door to the car.

"Hey Mom." I smiled at her.

"How was school, Percy?" She gave me a hug.

"Not a clue, I was too excited about Tony being okay."

"Did you bring your homework this time?"

"Yes." I pecked her cheek. "I am responsible sometimes."

"Annabeth wrote them down for you didn't she."

I grinned. "Yes."

Mom laughed, then sent Tony a stern look as he poured himself a glass of scotch.

"What? It's a coping mechanism."

"So is painkiller."

"This is painkiller!" He downed the thing in one go, wincing again as he moved his arm.

"You're bleeding through the bandages!" I spotted a small red spot on his side.

"No I'm not." Tony covered his chest quickly.

"Let me see." Mom moved over and tried to get him to move.

"I'm fine, Sal."

"Tony."

"Sally."

"Anthony Edward Stark, show me your side." My mom ordered sternly.

"Sally Muriel Jackson, I don't need or want to." Tony pouted like a child.

"JARVIS, pull over." I ordered.

"Yes sir." The vehicle slowed and then stopped.

Immediately I lunged forward and pried Tony's arms from his chest, holding them to the wall behind him.

"PERSEUS ACHILLES JACKSON LET ME GO RIGHT NOW OR SO HELP ME I WILL GROUND YOU FOR A MONTH!" My uncle screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Sorry, only Mom can do that." I grinned at him as Mom pulled his shirt up to examine the bandages.

"I don't think it's bleeding heavily, but it's hard to tell. JARVIS, find the fastest route back to the tower." My mom ordered. "Percy you can let him go now."

I did so, carefully. I didn't actually want to hurt Tony.

"That was completely unnecessary! This is cruel and unusual punishment!" He ranted as he wrapped his arms around his chest again.

"If we hadn't done it, you wouldn't have said anything until you passed out again because you're stubborn like that."

Tony rolled his eyes and reached for the scotch again.

"JARVIS close and lock the liquor cabinet both here in the car and at the tower." Mom said calmly.

"Sally!"

"Tony!" She whined back in a pretty good imitation.

I leaned back as I listened to them argue. After a few minutes I grinned and announced, "It's so refreshing to be the most mature one in the room when I'm the youngest."

Tony stared at me, completely lost for words. Seeing his face, my mom burst into laughter, which set me off.

Eventually we were all laughing and clutching our stomachs. "I needed...I needed that Perce...thanks." Tony smiled at me.

"That's what I'm here for."
