Biana POV:
Whoosh. The bottle landed on Linh.
"Ooh, ok, I dare you to kiss Fitz. Normal, right?" Biana giggled and said.
Linh beamed and nodded. She then pulled Fitz close and pressed her lips against his.
"I love you, Fitzy."
"Same." Fitz tucked a strand of Linh's hair behind her ear.
The group of friends continued playing.
Whoosh.
"Fitz! How interesting. Hmm...what embarrassing thing should I dare the Fitzster to do?" Keefe pretended to be deep in thought, cracking everyone up.
Keefe clapped his hands together, "Aha! Listen up. I want you to sneak into Foxfire and steal some butterblasts from the Mentor cafeteria! And you have to do it in front of us. Easy peasy, right?"
Fitz groaned, "But Foxfire is probably closed by now. How do we even go in? Besides, my sister can make them at home, can't you, B?"
Biana smiled sweetly, "Of course I can. But it'll be more exciting watching you try to steal some."
Keefe suggested, "How about this. I'll teach you my secret way to go in but you HAVE to steal some, I'm craving for it!"
Fitz slapped his face in exasperation. "Fine. But if I get caught, I'm blaming it ALL on you."
Keefe smirked and held his leaping crystal to the light, linking his arm through Fitz's.
"You coming?" He asked Linh and Biana. "Want to see your husband and brother do his dare?"
They nodded in unison and followed Keefe, but Sophie said that she was staying back with Dex, in fear that she got caught.
Fitz POV:
"Shh! We have to be reeally quiet so we won't be found out." Keefe whispered to Fitz, Biana and Linh as they looked around cautiously in the Silver Tower. Apparently, Keefe had a secret key to enter the Silver Tower so they could access the Mentor's cafeteria from there without having to break into Foxfire.
Fitz sighed, why did he even agree to this in the first place? Well sure, butterblasts were delicious, but it was definitely NOT worth all the trouble and the risk that they were taking. Worst of all, they were dragging Linh, the innocent girl into potential consequences. HIS innocent girl who didn't do anything at all.
The group then darted down the stairs, careful not to make them creak under the weight. They left the Silver Tower and tiptoed in the hallways, making their way to the Mentor cafeteria. When they reached the door, they realised that it was locked, to nobody's surprise.
"This is a useful little trick which I learnt from my time in the Forbidden Cities." Keefe took out a hairpin from his pocket and with a few twists and turns, unlocked the door with a faint "click!"
Fitz looked in and saw a large room with plush armchairs, diamond chandeliers and not to mention a long dining table with platters and platters of butterblasts, mallowmelt, ripplefluffs and anything one could ever imagine.
"There you go." Keefe said with a satisfied look on his face.
Fitz crept in lightly, not daring to make any sound on the carpet. He removed a silver lid from one of the platters of butterblasts and took as many as his hands could fit. He then carefully stuffed the butterblasts in the bag he brought, trying not to leave any crumbs behind.
After he left the room, he closed the door behind him and watched as Keefe relocked it.
"Success." He showed the bag to the others. "Let's go back." They then leapt back to Moonspire.
Sophie POV:
"Aunt Sophie, how do I make my hair look as good and wavy as yours?" Marella and Dex's daughter, Rowan, asked, twirling her strawberry blonde hair.
Sophie smiled, patting Rowan's hair. "Well, I don't really know how to advise you, seeing as I'm NOT a makeup and hair products person. You can ask Aunt Biana when she gets back. "
Just then, there was a "thump!" and Keefe, Fitz, Biana and Linh fell onto the carpet in a heap.
"Fitzy, are you always this bad at light-leaping?" Keefe grumbled, dusting off flowers from his hair.
"It's not my fault Moonspire is so hard to access! Besides, it's fine as long as the butterblasts didn't get crushed." Fitz replied, taking out the contents in his bag.
Sophie smiled at the golden, gooey, desserts which tasted like pancakes with maple syrup, only twice as yummy. No sleepover was complete without them.
Everyone chilled out in Biana and Tam's master bedroom, snacking on butterblasts, ripplefluffs, mallowmelt, every dessert you could ever imagine.
Soon, two hours had passed. "Guys, look at the stars! They're so pretty!" Linh breathed, pointing at the twinkling silver dots in the sky. Sophie and the others then rushed to Aurora's room, which was the best for admiring stars.
"Foster, this sleepover is definitely the best that we ever had." Keefe remarked softly, his arm around Sophie. Sophie leaned in and put her head on Keefe's shoulder, breathing in his scent of citrus. The group watched the stars in silence for a while, (picture on top to illustrate) romance lingering in the atmosphere as Linh and Fitz stood together, Marella and Dex embraced each other, and Sophie's BFF Biana kissed Tam.
This was certainly a night to be remembered.
