After stepping out of the bath, I slipped into some comfortable clothes and applied moisturizer.
Just as I was finishing up, there was a knock on the door. I opened it to find Esha standing there, her hair hopelessly tangled in the metal adjuster of her top, her head bent as she tried to free it.
"Do you have scissors?" she asked, frustration lacing her voice.
“What happened? Are you fine?” I asked, concerned.
“Fine dikh rahi hoon aapko main? I don’t even know how it happened. I tried to free my hair, but it just got more tangled,” she explained, exasperated.
I gently attempted to untangle the mess, but the knot was stubborn. “Esha, we’re going to have to cut the strap,” I said, moving toward the drawer.
I grabbed a pair of scissors and a T-shirt for her to change into.
“I’ll cut the strap, and here’s a shirt you can wear,” I offered.
“Okay, just do it fast—my neck is killing me,” she groaned.
I carefully snipped the strap, making sure not to cut her hair. Her hair is so soft.
As my fingers brushed against her shoulder, she straightened up, and I felt a sudden spark of something unspoken pass between us.
“Done. Go ahead and change—I’ll be outside,” I said quickly, closing the door behind me.

Just as Esha made her exit from my room, Siddharth walked in from the elevator.
I'm doomed— He's never going to stop ranting about this! I bolted towards Sid, shoving him back into the elevator, leaving the spatula to land who-knows-where.
“What are you doing, asshole?” Sid exclaimed.
“What the hell are you doing here? You need to leave, now,” I hissed, panic setting in as I tried to avoid Rose catching sight of him.
"Koi hai kyaa...," Sid began to say just as I heard Rose's faint voice calling out, “Aditya.” I'm done for. Just kill me now.
“Looks like you've got company tonight,” Sid smirked, striding past me towards Rose.
"What a pleasant surprise, Ms. Mehra," Sid said, extending his hand towards Esha. Wait—he knows Esha? How is it that I’m the last one to figure this out? I cursed myself silently.
