Valentines Day

                                    

                                          
It was the day before Valentines day and as always, boyfriends were scrambling to get last minute gifts or were preparing gifts they have planned for a while now.  Girlfriends on the other hand were either talking to their friends about how excited they were or how worried they were.  That night, Y/N was worried.
Y/N was on the phone with Yuki and Syora.
"Guys, what if he isn't planning anything for me?" Y/N asked.
Yuki exclaimed, "What?  He hasn't asked you yet?  Everyone knows you're supposed to ask before the day."
"What if he's one of those confused boyfriends who don't know when to ask?" Syora pointed out, "Didn't Min accidentally do the same thing?"
"Right right, does that sound like it would happen Y/N?" Yuki asked her.
Y/N thought about it, "Rin is fairly disconnected to things like this, so maybe he'll ask tomorrow."
"He probably will, and if not we have our Valentine's day gifts we prepared for each other." Yuki said.
"Oh yeah, are you guys done with those?" Y/N asked her friends, "I just need to put your gifts in baggies."
While the girls talked that night, Rin was at home.  He was double checking the gifts he got for Y/N.
"I'll pick up flowers tomorrow," Rin mumbled, "But the chocolates and other gifts are ready."
Rin stared at the gifts for Y/N, which were laid on his bed.  There was a small box of chocolates (whatever your favorites are), three packs of Almond Pocky (or your favorite flavor), two cans of Milkis, and decorative baby pink bag to store the gifts in.  Once Rin finished up the Valentine's card he made for Y/N, he organized the gifts into the pink bag and put the card in as well. 
"Hopefully she'll like this." Rin thought to himself.

Meet me at the convenience store by the school today.
I can't walk you to school this morning.

Y/N sighed in disappointment, "Yeah he so forgot about Valentines day."
She got up from the couch and grabbed her school bag and the bag filled with smaller gift bags for her friends.  Y/N slipped on her coat and shoes before leaving to school on her own.  
On her way there, she was feeling uncomfortable since she hadn't walked to school on her own in a while.  Her heart felt sort of heavy when she realized she was feeling upset.  She tapped her fingers on the train's fabric seat, all while trying to sort out her emotions.  She knew that it was childish to get upset over things like this, especially when Rin was busy with his own things, but she just can't help but feel cast aside.  She didn't mind coming second to Rin's responsibilities, but everything the two of them did is constantly planned around that.  She knew it was selfish to think so, and she wanted to come to understand that this issue will come eventually in their relationship.  Y/N didn't think that issue would come this early.  Y/N didn't expect that her first relationship would turn out this way.
As she stepped out of the train and headed to school, she tried to get her mind off of her emotions to see Rin.  She didn't want him to worry, especially on Valentines day.  With every step, she took deep breaths and thought about why Rin wanted to meet her at a convenience store.  It made her even more upset, however.
