The next night unfolded backstage at the NXT arena, where Y/N L/N was making his way through the familiar maze of corridors, heading towards the locker room. The hustle and bustle of a live show were in full swing, with wrestlers preparing for their matches and staff moving swiftly to get everything ready.

Y/N was in a good mood, energized by the productive meeting with Regal earlier and the progress he felt he was making. He was looking forward to his upcoming match and the chance to continue proving himself. However, as he rounded a corner, he heard a commotion coming from one of the side hallways.

Curious, he approached cautiously, trying to make out the voices. The sounds of heated conversation were punctuated by what seemed like a struggle. Y/N peered around the corner and saw Tiffany Stratton, the NXT Women's Champion, backed into a corner, facing off against two other wrestlers who were clearly agitated.

The wrestlers, known for their aggressive tactics, seemed to be confronting Tiffany about a recent backstage altercation. Tiffany, although fierce in the ring, looked visibly frustrated and cornered. She was holding her ground, but it was clear she was outnumbered.

Y/N hesitated for a moment, remembering their previous run-ins. He and Tiffany had exchanged sharp words, and he had even mocked her title in their last encounter. But as he watched the situation unfold, he saw an opportunity to make a different kind of statement.

Without overthinking it, he stepped forward and intervened. "Hey! What's going on here?"

The two wrestlers turned their attention to Y/N, momentarily surprised. One of them, a burly figure with a scowl, stepped forward. "This is none of your business, L/N. We're just having a chat with the champ here."

Tiffany looked over, her expression a mix of relief and surprise. "Y/N, you don't have to-"

"I know," Y/N interrupted, cutting her off. "But it seems like you're having a rough day, and I've got a problem with bullies."

The confrontation escalated quickly. Y/N's presence alone seemed to shift the dynamics. The two wrestlers exchanged glances and seemed to reconsider their stance. They weren't looking to escalate things further with someone as formidable as Y/N.

"You better watch yourself, L/N," one of the wrestlers growled before backing away, his tone grudging but resigned. "We're not done with this."

As they left, Tiffany let out a sigh of relief. She straightened her posture and shot Y/N a wary but grateful look. "Thanks for stepping in. Didn't expect you to come to my rescue."

Y/N shrugged, a hint of a smile on his face. "I'm not doing it for you. Just didn't like the way they were handling things. Besides, I figured it was a good way to make a point."

Tiffany raised an eyebrow, studying him. "So, what's your angle? Trying to make amends or just making sure I owe you one?"

"Neither," Y/N replied with a smirk. "Just felt like it was the right thing to do. But if you want to talk, I'm all ears. We might find some common ground if we try."
