Zygerria, 7957 C.R.C

It had taken several electro-whips and soldiers to bring Anakin to his knees. He'd been determined not to fall into submission but in the end, not even his determination could save him from the electricity draining him of consciousness. When he woke up later he found himself lying on a bed inside a large bedchamber.

One of the Queen's Kiros birds was warbling close to his ear, and grazed its face against Anakin's cheek, pecking him with its beak. Slowly he opened his eyes as the Queen's familiar accented voice filled his ears, "You destroyed my auction and frightened my customers."

Anakin sat up on the bed as Miraj turned around — now looking at him rather than the view of the city — and said, "Count Dooku and half my kingdom are demanding your death."

A wave of anger washed over Anakin. Anger that he'd felt since the moment he first laid eyes on her — since he first heard her speak of natural orders and the glory of slavery — and now when his cover was blown there was no holding it back.

He had gotten better at controlling his anger. Truly, he had. Anakin was no longer the bitter padawan that threw temper tantrums and thought everyone wanted to undermine him. Kaia had helped him get past that phase in his life; in fact, had she been there with him right now, he might not have acted the way he did.

Letting his anger control his actions, Anakin raised his hand and the Queen rose a few feet up in the air and gasped for air. "You should have listened to them," Anakin growled angrily, getting to his feet. "My friends, where are they?"

As usual when Kaia disappeared, Anakin reasoned that he'd sense it if something happened to her. Like the world suddenly would feel empty and grey if she passed away. Yet he wasn't naive enough to think that she wasn't in danger; none of them were safe for as long as they remained at the mercy of the Zygerrians.

"Continue to misbehave," Miraj choked out, "and they die."

In defeat, Anakin released Queen Miraj who landed on her feet and coughed for air. But a glare remained on his face as he looked at the one holding those he cared about the most at her mercy. "A most curious Jedi who cares more about his friends than his own mission," Miraj said. "Hero. General," she laughed, "And now my servant."

"I will not serve you," Anakin declared, teeth gritted together as he turned his back against her. The mere thought of serving the Queen filled him with disgust; he could not go back to that life.

Queen Miraj laughed mockingly, "Your heart is not in your words. You will stand beside me — a testament of my power." She brought her hands forward from behind her back to reveal his lightsaber, "Here. My bodyguard will need a weapon. And you need not worry about your friends. They will be quite safe."
