The morning mist clung to the air like a gauzy veil, obscuring the edges of the world as Eloise stepped out of the carriage. A bouquet of lilies, their white petals pristine against the greying sky, rested in her arms. She walked towards the cemetery, her heart a leaden weight in her chest.

Lilith stood still, burning her gaze into the headstone in front of her. Eloise approached, the lilies brushing against her dress with a soft rustle. She knelt, placing the flowers carefully at the foot of the grave, her fingers trembling against the cold marble.

"Amelia" Lilith whispered, her voice barely a breath. "She was a god, my first love, everything i dreamt of"

Eloise's throat tightened."I know" she shakily whispered, gently rubbing circles on Lilith's back, the stone of her late wife's grave cold beneath their feet.

"We must leave, it will rain soon" Eloise whispered, tilting her head up, studying the angry clouds.

Lilith, her eyes red-rimmed and swollen, wiped a tear with the back of her hand. "I will walk" she mumbled, her voice thick with exhaustion.

Eloise shook her head, her brow furrowing with concern. "No. You wouldn't last five paces before collapsing" She linked her arm through Lilith's, and pulled her towards the waiting carriage.

As they walked, Eloise's gaze lingered on Lilith's face. The contours of her cheekbones, the curve of her lips, the way her eyelashes cast delicate shadows on her skin. She was the epitome of dark beauty. A true siren.

"Good mornin, Miss Bridgerton, Miss Grimes" the footmen greeted them, their voices polite but laced with a hint of curiosity. They helped the women into the carriage. Once they settled into the seat, Eloise's breath hitched as her arm brushed against Lilith's.

The carriage door closed, a soft click that seemed to amplify the quiet intensity in the air. Lilith wiped at her icy eyes again, a sob escaping her lips. "You shouldn't have come, Eloise. I am a weeping mess"

Eloise's hand found Lilith's thigh, her touch light and caring. "Don't say that. You need me, and I need you, Lilith. You know that" her words were soft, a promise whispered against the Miss Grimes's skin.

Lilith's head turned, her gaze flickering in between Eloise's eyes and lips, the unspoken desire burning between them. Eloise's touch on her thigh deepened, her fingers tracing a path up to Lilith's delicate cold inner thigh.

"You saved my life" Lilith whispered, her voice hoarse with emotion. "Because of you, i am still here"

Tears welled in Eloise's eyes, her heart pounding against her ribs. She leaned in, crashing her lips against Lilith's, the kiss deepening with a fervent passion that was both exhilarating and terrifying. A shudder ran through Lilith as Eloise's tongue slid in her mouth, swirling around hers with a hungry desire.

Lilith's hands found Eloise's back, pulling her closer, her fingers digging into the fabric of her gown. With a quick, smooth movement, she straddled Eloise's lap, her thighs pressing against her. "Never die" she murmured, cupping Eloise's flushed cheeks.

"I won't" Eloise breathed, her fingers finding their way to Lilith's breasts, her touch sending a ripple of goosebumps all over the woman's slender body.

Lilith deepened the kiss, her tongue exploring the depths of Eloise's mouth. Suddenly she pulled back, her breath catching in her throat. "We shouldn't" she panted, shaking her head slowly.

Eloise's heart ached with a longing she couldn't suppress. "You know we both want this" Her voice was a plea, a raw, desperate confession of her desires.

Lilith tried to resist, to pull away, but Eloise's touch was addictive. She kissed Lilith's neck, her lips trailing down the curve of her jaw, her teeth gently nipping at her skin. Lilith fought back a moan, biting her lip.

"Eloise" she gasped, her voice laced with a warning that was lost on Eloise's determined heart. "I am not good for you"

"I know" Eloise mumbled against her skin, her voice ragged with desire. "But I want you. I need you"

Lilith's eyelids grew heavy, her body trembling with both desire and confusion. Eloise's lips found a sensitive spot on her neck, her tongue gently coaxing a moan from Lilith's lips.

The scent of her skin, the taste of her, the feel of her body against hers, it was all so intoxicating.

Suddenly, Lilith pulled back. "Stop the carriage!" she yelled, her voice sharp with desperation. She slid off Eloise's lap, her legs wobbly with a burning desire.

"I will walk" she declared, her voice trembling. She turned to leave, but Eloise's hand shot out, grabbing her wrist.

"My little raven" Lilith breathed, biting back a sob. "I do not wish to hurt you. Please, let me go" Her eyes met Eloise's, a storm of emotions swirling within them.

Eloise's hand tightened around Lilith's wrist, but then, with a sigh of defeat, she released her. With a heavy heart, she watched as Lilith stepped out of the carriage, her figure disappearing into the growing darkness.
