"You hungry?" She asks and I nod as we head back to her car. She helps me in. "Ok I have a perfect spot. It's close to the school so don't worry." She says and I smile at her thought-fullness. As we drive I let the air blow on my face and hair. It's so refreshing. Everything with her is.
We pull up to a diner I used to bring Shiloh a lot when he was younger. The memories weren't always good because it would always be because Samuel and I would have had an argument and I brought him here to apologize.
We take our seats in an empty booth with her seating across from me. "Welcome to Bobbie's. What can I get for you today?" The waitress asks. Dani and I look at her and her eyes meet Dani's and she smiles. "Hey Dani." She says and I look at Dani confused. She looks nervous. I look back at the girl and read the name tag, Sasha. Who's this bitch?
"Uh hey Sasha." She says and looks at me.
I eye the interaction and see how this Sasha girl hasn't acknowledged me once. "How you been?"
Dani clears her throat and looks at me when she touches her arm. I don't say anything and she sighs and moves her shoulder so Sasha's hand falls. "I've been good. You?" She asks politely but I stare at her and I can tell she regretted even asking.
"Good. You haven't returned my calls." I raise a brow.
"Um baby. What did you want to eat?" She says looking at me.
Sasha finally acknowledges my presence and I smile at her. "Baby?" I nod slightly. "I'm sorry I didn't even see you."
I shrug. "Well if you weren't so busy flirting with her, you would." She nods embarrassed. "Now do you want to do your job or do you want to keep catching up with my girlfriend?" I ask and she shakes her head.
"What would you like?" She asks and we tell her what we want. "I'll get that to you right away."
Dani sighs. "Baby-
I raise my hand. "How do you know her, because I know she isn't an ex?" I ask and she stiffens and then takes a breath.
"We met at a college party and Kayla introduced us. Then we slept together. But it was just once." I raise a brow.
"And why is that? She's a cute girl."
"Baby, I don't want to talk about my past sex life with you like this."
I shrug. "I'm asking you am I not?" She nods. "Then tell me." I say calmly.
She sighs. "After we did, she told everyone we were together. I'm not a player by a long shot Elizabeth but I didn't feel anything with her. We were both drunk and were attracted to each other. So we had sex. But that's all it was for me. I blocked her on everything and haven't been to a school party since."
"And when was this?"
She shrugs. "8 months ago?" She says unsure but I can tell it's because it's been a while. Being a lawyer comes with the perks of realizing when someone is bullshitting you. Trust me I knew Sam was cheating before he even decided to stick his dick in the office slut. "Baby please believe me. I have no feelings for her."
I nod. "I believe you Baby." I say plainly and then the food comes out. We share a milkshake together but we don't make a lot of conversation. I just have too much on my mind right now. Like why she keeps taking glances at Dani as if I can't see her or she just doesn't respect me. I'll be making a point. "I need to use the restroom." I say and she nods still nervous. Cute. "Come." I whisper in her ear when I stand up next to her.
She looks up at me and I raise a brow and she nods and follows me into the restroom. I walk in and wait for her to close the door. "Ba-shit!" She hisses when I slam her body against the door. "Elizabeth."
