♡Kalani's pov ♡

I sat in the study area, my eyes fixed on the book in front of me, I was here since early morning cause I kept on twist and turning in bed all night with images of me stabbing that man.

I was lost in the words, the characters coming to life in my mind. The sound of the door being opened pulled me out of my book, I looked up to see it was just Zyron.

He walked over her bending in front of her with a worried expression on his face.

"Are you alright" he asked, his voice filled with concern.
He checked me to see if I was hurt from last night events.

I chuckled setting the book aside.
"Am fine truly" I answered.

He then sighed.
"I heard you killed someone last night" he says.

My expression drops, he noticed and looked at me with worried.

"Did I do something wrong?" He asked.
"No it's not that, it's just that I don't feel regret doing what I did to that man" I stated.

Zyron reached out and took my hand in his giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"It's is completely normal for you not to okay" he says reassuringly.

"Come we have important stuff to discuss in my office" Zyron says as he pulled me up.

I sat nervously in Zyron's office, Luca, Stefano, Aria and Jazz gathered around as we discussed last night break-in and attack. I still couldn't shake the feeling that there is a mole in this household who's working for our enemies.

"I just don't understand how they know exactly when to strike" Aria says.
"It's like they had inside information" Jazz replies.

"Someone told them that we weren't around which will be the best time to strike" Luca then stated.

"We'll get to the bottom of this, anyone whose behind this will pay. I'll keep an eye on all the top guards" Zyron says.

"It's possible, we have to be careful who we trust outside of you guys, we can't afford to let our guard down" I stated and they all nodded there heads in agreement.

One thing I've learned from my father was that, in the perilous dance of power trust is a rare commodity.
As I gaze out into the beautiful morning, a steely glint of determination hit me, I know that I have to prepare to face whatever trials lay ahead.
This journey was far from concluded, the path ahead obscured by the looming specters of enemies.

I sighed, the girls had gone to have breakfast just now. I turn to Stefano and Luca as I run my hands in my already ruining hair.

In Sicily when Aria called saying that the Spanish had broken in going after Kalani, I was beyond furious and concerned. Am proud of her though, she is handling herself pretty well, I know she will be an amazing Donna.

"I think my father might be a suspect" I noted.
The boys eyebrows shot up in confusion.

"Giovanni?" Stefano asked.
"He has been in Russia for the past month" I stated.
"Why would he be on Russian territory in times like this?" Luca asked.

"I was wondering the same thing too, I asked Fabio to check it out because I suspect something was off, he ha been seeing a strange man and women lately, I haven't seen them before or know what there business is" i stated.

"But if he is in Russia how would he bring inside information to the Spanish last night?" Stefano asked.

"Am not sure" I answered truthfully.
"Don't worry Zy, we'll help keep an eye on things" Luca says and Stefano nodded in agreement.
