Great friends... That thought ran through Rody's head ever since Vincent said it, and it was already the next day. Why did that hurt Rody so much to hear? Maybe, maybe it's because he doesn't want to be great friends. He wants more and he knows that but... he was still scared of the general idea and if others found out. It was a big risk but was it one Rody was willing to take? Agh, I don't know... Rody furrowed his eyebrows as he laid on his couch, staring at the ceiling.
What if I say yes? What's the worse that could happen? Rody paused. There's a lot that could be 'worse'... It is a huge risk, am I willing to accept the bad that may come with being with Vincent? Ahhh... His head was spinning with all types of thoughts, going back in forth from the thought of just saying yes and dealing with whatever comes or rejecting it and only being hurt by staying friends with Vincent... What's wrong with me? I wish I was confident enough to make the decision... Rody sighed.
You know what? Rody furrowed his eyebrows and sat fully up straight, throwing his legs off the couch. He stood and made his way to the closet he had.
Rody had thrown on whatever at that point, eager to get to where he wanted. Riding his bike, fast and even almost falling from time to time, he was ready. Ready to make a decision. He was sweating and breathing heavy by the time he got to the place, running up the stairs. He quickly and loudly knocked upon the door, stepping back after and catching his breath now as he waited.
The door opened and Rody smiled widely. "Hey!" He said breathlessly.
A moment of silence passed.
"Rody..." Vincent said as he took in the appearance of Rody, the messy and sweaty appearance of Rody. He looked wild, Vincent had to hold back a chuckle at the sight from the stupid, wide smile and the messy everything. Vincent looked back at Rody's eyes. "What-"
Rody cut Vincent off, "My answer is yes."
Vincent was quiet for a moment, comprehending what Rody was saying. He didn't want to assume so he asked, "Answer? To what exactly?" Vincent raised an eyebrow, taking his hand off the door then crossing his arms.
"To us... us dating." He said, finally catching his breath fully. He sighed and looked away, running a hand through his damp hair.
