Training ground 44- The forest of death.

Start from the beginning

They stared at Naruto with their jaw slack, but instead of Naruto feeling proud, his fists clenched and a pained expression crossed his face. I looked at him worriedly.

"Ok, last question big sis. As a sister, what do you think of Naruto?" All three looked at me curiously upon Konohamuru's question.

I paused, and thought for a minute, before beginning, "Naruto has always been the person who was able to do the things that I never could do. He's always been the person who could tackle what others considered impossible, he's always been the person who could make miracles happen. Compared to him, I'm nothing, and the only reason I've even come this far is because of him. He's the best big brother I could ever have." I quietly muttered it all, a small smile gracing my lips the entire time. Every single word was true, there was no denying it.

They stared at me in awe, before grinning. I glanced at Naruto, only to see him walking away. I felt a pang in my chest, and at that moment, I was 100% sure Naruto hated me. For the monster I was.

I inaudibly gulped, before giving the three academy students a crooked fake smile, and heading towards my two teammates so that we could start the second phase of the chunnin exams.

Hyuka had gotten a heaven scroll and was looking at me expressionlessly, probably upset about the fact that Naruto had given me the cold shoulder....again.

Kurame however.......

"Lemme have him! I'll rip that bloody yellow banana to shreds! That little no good-"

"Kurame! It's alright! He did nothing wrong! Please don't hurt him!" I pleaded, trying to hold her back from obliterating Naruto. She however ignored me and continued her rant. Hyuka rolled his eyes, and bonked her on the head.

"You'll have plenty of time to kill him when we're in the forest of death. Be a bit patient till then, will you?" He stated, grabbing her chin and making her look directly into his eyes. She huffed and crossed her arms, turning around and glaring at the soon to open gate.

"I swear, as soon as I get my hands on him...."

"Alright then! We're gonna start the exams now! Get into your positions! We're opening the gate." Our proctor yelled. I gave a small sigh, before nodding and looking determinedly at the gate.

"Okay.......start!"

-------------------

"We'll meet up here after an hour alright. If you find an enemy, fight them and get their scroll, then return immediately back. Nakiri?" I snapped my head to Hyuka, "The enemy will least expect you to have it, so I'm giving you the scroll, alright?"

I looked at Hyuka incredulously, before shaking my head, "But-"

"No buts. This is how it's gonna be. Understood?"

"Yeah yeah. No need to get your panties in a wad. This'll be easy!" Kurame remarked, inspecting a kunai. Hyuka rolled his eyes.

"Alright then.....go!"

We all jumped our separate directions, heading to wherever. I ran towards a river I had spotted, wanting to collect some water before I set out. It had already been three hours since the exams had started, and a cloud village team had attacked us. Kurame had decided to fight them, and using brute force, beat them to a pulp in mere seconds. Unfortunately they had a heaven scroll so now, we were looking for more teams to fight.

I was doubting my abilities because I was pretty sure I was going to be defeated by anyone I encountered in this state. I had good taijutsu skills, true, and I was also a good senser, but my ninjutsu was the worst and compared to the other teams, I was weak.
