The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm, golden glow across the room. Isa blinked a few times, adjusting to the brightness as she slowly woke up. She realized that Kevin was still asleep, his head resting comfortably on her chest, his arm draped over her waist as if he was holding on to her even in his sleep. His breathing was slow and steady, and his face looked peaceful, almost boyish, as he lay there.
Isa couldn't help but smile at the sight of him, her heart swelling with affection. She carefully brought her hand up to his head, gently tangling her fingers in his dark hair. The soft strands slipped between her fingers as she stroked his hair, a gesture that was as soothing to her as it was to him. She stayed like that for a while, simply enjoying the quiet intimacy of the moment.
Kevin stirred slightly, nuzzling his face further into her chest as he slowly woke up. Isa continued to run her fingers through his hair, watching as his eyes fluttered open. He blinked a few times, clearly disoriented by the morning light, before his gaze focused on Isa. A lazy smile spread across his face as he realized where he was and how close they were.
"Buenos días," Isa whispered softly, her voice gentle and warm.
Kevin groaned softly, still half-asleep. "Buenos días," he mumbled back, his voice husky from sleep. He tilted his head up slightly, just enough to press a sleepy kiss to her collarbone. "¿Cómo dormiste?"
"Muy bien," Isa replied, her fingers still playing with his hair. "Tú parecías estar muy cómodo."
Kevin chuckled, his breath warm against her skin. "Lo estaba. Eres la almohada perfecta."
Isa laughed softly, her chest vibrating gently under his head. "¿Ah, sí? ¿Me vas a cambiar por una almohada de verdad entonces?"
"Ni pensarlo," Kevin murmured, nuzzling closer to her. "Las almohadas no huelen tan bien como tú."
Isa's heart fluttered at his words, and she couldn't help but feel a little blush creep onto her cheeks. She loved these tender moments with Kevin, where they could just be themselves without any worries or distractions.
They stayed like that for a few more minutes, neither of them wanting to move or break the comforting silence. Eventually, though, Isa knew they had to get up. She gently nudged Kevin, who groaned in protest but started to shift his weight off her.
"Vamos, tenemos que levantarnos," Isa said, her voice gentle but firm.
Kevin sighed dramatically, rolling onto his back beside her. "¿No podemos quedarnos así todo el día?"
"Lo desearía," Isa replied with a smile, leaning over to kiss his cheek. "Pero tienes que ir a entrenar."
Kevin pouted playfully, his eyes still half-closed. "Está bien, pero solo porque tú lo dices."
They both reluctantly got out of bed, stretching and yawning as they prepared to face the day. Isa went to the bathroom first, washing her face and brushing her teeth. Kevin followed shortly after, teasing her when she took too long at the sink.
"Te estás tardando mucho, mi amor," he teased, leaning against the doorframe with a smirk.
"Es que a algunas personas nos gusta estar bien presentables," Isa replied with a playful grin, handing him his toothbrush when she was done. Kevin shook his head with a chuckle, taking her place at the sink.
While Kevin freshened up, Isa wandered into the kitchen to start making breakfast. She decided on something simple—scrambled eggs with toast and fresh fruit. As she cracked the eggs into a bowl, she couldn't help but smile to herself, feeling content and happy.
