Me, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Fleur were sitting on stools in the kitchen, while Mrs Weasley dabbed ointment on Hermione's black eye which she had gotten from Fred and George's punching telescope. Suddenly, four owls flew through the window. I snatched the one with 'Aurora Lily Potter' stamped on it in Professor McGonagall's handwriting, slit it open and read the words,

𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬:

E- Exceeds Expectations
A- Acceptable

𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬:

Herbology: E
History of Magic: T

Transfiguration: O

I reread the piece of parchment many times. Three Outstandings! That's got to be my best so far. I had studied so hard last year, but sadly, I had failed Divination and History of Magic. Not that I particularly liked the subjects, but it still felt bad to fail.

Two hours later..

We were all in Diagon Alley, browsing through Fred and George's joke shop. I grabbed a few Extendable Ears, as they might come in handy. Just as I grabbed the boxes, Harry was beckoning me over, the Invisibility Cloak in his hands.
I rolled my eyes, coming over to him and getting under the Cloak. He led us over to Knockturn Alley, where Malfoy seemed to be going, alone. We had encountered in Madam Malkin's, and I doubt his mother would allow him to be going anywhere alone today after that incident. We peered through windows, when Hermione gave my elbow a hard pinch.
"Ouch!-"
"Shh, look, he's in there!" Hermione breathed, pointing to Borgin and Burkes. And lo behold, there stood Malfoy, talking to Borgin.
"If only we could hear what they were saying!"
"We can, hold on-" I fumbled with a few boxes and pulled out four Extendable Ears. I handed them out, and we could hear what Malfoy was saying clearly, as if a radio.
"You know Fenrir Greyback? He's a family friend. He'll be checking in from time to time to make sure you're giving the problem your full attention."
They talked about something for a few minutes, then the bell rang of the shop and Malfoy stepped out, looking smug. I raised an eyebrow, as Borgin began to examine a closet-looking thing.
"Wonder what Malfoy wanted." Ron said, still looking through the window.
"Whatever it is, it must be dangerous." Harry replied, looking troubled.
I said nothing, simply staring at the cabinet.
