"You starve your employees and stalk?" I look up from the papers to my door. My eyes meet the beautiful two different ones. "I think you're asking for a law suit at this point." She says with a smirk.
"What are you doing here?" I ask her and lean back in my chair. I see her swallow after I cross my legs.
"Um Jane texted saying she needed me to grab her something to eat." She says and I frown confused and look over out the big glass window to Jane's office. She smiles and waves. I roll my eyes and shake my head.
I chuckle. "She just said that to make you come here." I say and she looks at me confused.
"Why would she do that?" She asks. I shrug. "Well," she fixes her glasses and I've only taken notice of her outfit. She's wearing a wool green vest over a white button up with its collar out. Her hands again filled with silver rings that match the silvers chains she has on. She ties it with jeans and white sneakers. She's gorgeous truly. "I'm not mad at it." She says and my eyes go wide at what she said.
"What?"
She chuckles smoothly and walks further into my office and sits down in a seat across from me. Her eyes scan me up and down. "I said I'm not mad at what she's trying to do. I like seeing you, Elizabeth." She says and I swear my breathing stops. "I'd like to see more of you too." She says standing up and walking to my side of the desks and leaning down to where her face is aligned with mine.
"Um." My eyes flick to her lips and when I go back to her eyes they're on my lips.
"Eleizabeth?" I snap out of my daydream and see her still standing at the door.
What the fuck? "Uh yes?"
She smirks. "Um I said well I have to go. I have classes. But I brought you something too just incase you didn't eat. Jane has it." She says.
I nod. "Oh um, thank you, Dani. Have fun." She smiles and nods. Have fun? At school? She walks out and waves bye to Jane. "Ugh." I groan.
I get up after she leaves the building and head to Jane's office. "Hey girl." She says and hands me the bag of my food.
I put my hands on my hips. "One, I'm your boss. And two what did I say about hooking me up with Dani?" I say seriously.
She sighs. "Sorry. I really was hungry though." I sigh and shake my head.
"Just stop please. I'm going through a divorce and now a serious case I need to focus on. I don't have time to be dating basically a child." I say and she snickers. "What?"
She takes a breath. "Sorry. But it's just ironic you being lawyer attracted to a 'child'." I groan. "Chill she's 22, she's the most mature out all of us." She says and my eyes go wide.
"She's literally only 6 years older than my son. I cannot be having this conversation. Just get back to work." I say and grab the bag and head back to my office. 22?! Oh my god! I'm a middle aged woman attracted to someone who barely passes as an adult.
"Ok I'm heading out. Is there anything else you needed?" Jane asks after a few more hours has passed.
I shake my head. "Um no. Thank you though. See you tomorrow for the hearing." I say and she nods and leaves. I sigh and run my hands down my face in exhaustion.
I look out the window and see the sun is down. I look at the time and it's 6. Shiloh will be getting home from practice soon. I gather my stuff and head down to my car. "Hey there stalker." I turn to the sound of her voice and see her standing by her truck.
"Still with this?" She nods. "What will convince you I'm not a stalker?" I ask with a smile.
She shrugs. "Go on a date with me?" She says and my smile falters to shock.
