"Mom!" I groan at the sound of Shilohs voice. The door opens loudly. "Mom!" He shakes me and I open my eyes slightly to see a worried look on his face.

I rub my eyes open and lift up from the pillow. "What's wrong?" I ask him.

He takes a huge breath. "Thank god! I thought you were dead!" He exclaims and I look at him confused.

"And why would you think that?" I ask him.

"You weren't home after dad dropped me off from practice and then I accidentally went to sleep waiting for you. I woke myself up to come check on you." He says breathless.

I sit up and reach my arms out. He sinks into them and lays his head on my shoulder. I look over at my alarms clock and it's 1 in the morning. I sigh. "I'm sorry sweetheart. I went out with some friends. And lost track of time." I say.

He nods and sniffles. "It's ok. You deserve to have some fun too." I chuckle and kiss his forehead.

"Now, go back to bed. You have school in the morning." I tell him and he nods and gets up.

"I thought I'd be stuck with dad for the rest of my life." I laugh and he smiles and leaves the room. I lie back down after hearing his door close and let sleep take over.

Ring! Ring! "Fuck off!" I groan out and reach for my phone on my nightstand. Ring! Ring! I don't feel it and sit up and hear it coming from my purse. That's on my dresser. "Fuck!" I yell and sigh getting out of bed. I stumble to my dresser and get my phone out. "Hello?" I answer.

"Oh thank god you're ok!"

"Why does everyone think I died or something?" I ask.

"Um because you're not at work." She says and I look at the time on my phone. 10 am.

"Shit!"

"Exactly. But I can't get in touch with Dani but that's probably because she's at school or work now. She made sure you got home safely right?" She asks.

Dani? "Uhn I guess so. I don't really remember much. My head is pounding."

She laughs. "Yeah you were going pretty hard. Sorry about the divorce by the way."

I palm my forehead. "Great. That's not how I wanted anyone to find out about it."

"Hey it's fine. He's a dick anyway from what you were telling us." She says and I groan sitting down on my bed. "But anyway, everything is ok here. Summary was sent to the judge and we'll hear about it tomorrow."

"Thank you Jane. Um do you have any ideas on how to get rid of the headache."

"Medicine doesn't normally work on me like other people. I workout and drink smoothies." Of course she does.

"Ugh ok. I'll try it out. Thank you again."

"Of course. See you tomorrow." She says and we hang up. I get dressed in sweats and head to my home gym. Samuel used it a lot. He's quite fit so I guess it works. I bite the inside of my cheek as I take in all the different machines and weights. I get on the treadmill and it starts speeding up immediately.

"Ahh!" I scream and jump off. I quickly turn it off catching my breath. "Nope." I say and go grab my keys. I head out of the house locking the door but stop in my tracks when I don't see my car. "Damn it!" I groan remembering I left it at the office. I pull out my phone and order an Uber.

10 Minutes later, I get in the car and he drives me to the office. Luckily I was going this way anyway. "Thank you." I tell him and get out and instead of going into the tall law firm I go to the huge gym across from it. I walk in and I'm met with upbeat music.

"Welcome to WorkIt! Are you a member or looking to sign up?" The girl at the front desk say's cheerfully.

I shake my head. "No I'm not. And I'm not sure if I'll be here often to need a membership." I say and she nods understandably.

"Of course. There's no pressure at all. But it is a $20 fee to use the equipment and our facility." She says. Although $20 is nothing to me it's pretty stiff for a gym. Los Angeles for you. I nod and give her $20. "Thank you. Now were you looking to do your own thing or I can have one of my personal trainers help you out to get started?" She asks and I think.

"I don't really know much about working out." I say honestly.

She looks at me surprised. "Really?" I nod. "Well damn I wish I had your genes. But that's no problem. I can have someone help you. Just have a seat and I'll get them out here." She says.

"Thank you." I go take a seat and get on my phone seeing a text from Samuel saying we have a dinner with his parents this Friday. Great.

"Hey, Claire. Jackson sent me up since he has a client coming in soon." I hear the familiar honey like voice and look up.

"Yeah. She was looking to get some assistance." The girl named Claire says and points to me. The other woman turns and I notice her eyes are two different colors. Whoah.

She smirks. "You sure you aren't stalking me, Elizabeth?" She asks and stands in front of me as I'm still sitting down.

"Uh," is all managed to get out still staring in her eyes. Of course.
