THE ROOM fell into a stunned silence once more. Aizawa's eyes widened slightly, and Tsukauchi's pen paused mid-note.

Even Snipe, who had been casually leaning against the table, straightened up; his amethyst eyes narrowed in confusion and curiosity.

Behind the glass, Midoriya's jaw dropped at the fact that she actually told them, his face pale from shock and concern.

As the gobsmacked boy pressed his hands against the glass, any onlooker would've thought he was trying to get closer to the unfolding conversation.

Ito's voice was strained from her suddenly dry throat as she spoke up once more. "Hah, um, s-surprise?"

Aizawa's response was low, almost a whisper as he was able to process her words first. "A quirk... How?"

Ito's eyes flickered with icy fear, and her knee jerk reaction to scoff sounded out.

"No clue, man— plot convenience?"

Each and every male deadpanned at her answer, which made her genuinely laugh a little. But as to not get on the bad sides of people who can arrest her, or worse —dissect her— she put her pretty hands up in surrender.

"Okay okay, I may have some clue. It happened during the fight with Gomma. He had electrocuted me.. and somehow instead of killing me, it mutated me," Ito huffed quietly.

She ran a hand through her hair, before lowering it in front of her.

Staring at her palm, Ito barely managed to conjure up a small and angry red spark, making a crackling noise along with ruby glows cast across her features.

"Now I can sorta control electromagnetic currents, attract and repel them based on my emotions alone. Anger repels, Fear attracts," Ito calmly explained, before having no choice but to lose the spark, from the slight fear of being wrong.

"I think, anyways. My dad was the scientist, not me."

As she rested her mystifying hand back in her lap, she shrugged and looked to the side. "This is just the best hypothesis me and Midoriya have came up with so far."

The boy in question was jump scared with his own last name, but settled down after a second. He was glad to know he got to help her spitball ideas back at the beach.

However, Aizawa's expression contorted even more at her answer, protectiveness flashing in his squinted eyes. "Gomma did what??"

Ito chuckled as she nodded at him. "Yeahhh, he was definitely sick of my underhanded moves."

With a regretful smile, she continued with her cheek resting on her palm.

"Thats so real of him to be honest," Ito thoughtlessly and too casually shrugged out, concerning the others for a whole other reason.
