HELLO GUYSSS i originally planned to write this when I hit 1000 reads BUTTT I MISSED WRITING THIS STORY SOO MUCHH SO IM DOING AN EARLY SPECIAL FOR 900 READS 🫶🏼
( In this Au the mentioned characters are about as old as in the beginning of the original story and Hakkai and Mitsuya go in the same grade) 
Hakkais Pov:
Ive never really experienced colours. Black and white is everything I can see just like the most people. Youre probably wondering: " And whys that? " but theres a simple explenation to that. In this universe, theres the saying that youll only be able to see colours when you interlock eyes with your soulmate. The one person meant for you. The one and only who was made for you, just like you were made for them. My name is Hakkai Shiba and im on the journey to find my soulmate and finally live my happy ever after. 

Me and my sister got inrolled into a new school due to our brother. I was sure that id finally meet them there. 
This morning I got ready and put some extra effort in the way I styled my hair. If i will meet them today, I want to look good after all. 
I desprately waited for my sister to finally get ready. As she finally was, we walked to our new school together. The head teacher then led us to our new classrooms. Yuzuha got to hers first and after that, I got to go to mine. 
The lesson was already starting as I knocked on the door which was opened by the teacher. They led me into the class and then gathered the others attention.
" Dear students, as the new year starts we are also allowed to welcome our new student. Ill let him introdouce himself. "
" Hello.. My Name is Hakkai Shiba and im really happy to meet yall. "
I tried to make eye contact with as many students as possible but unfortunatly, nothing happened. Until I spotted a which seemed to be lilac haired boy sitting in an edge of the class.
" Hakkai, please go sit next to Mitsuya. Mitsuya raise your hand please. "
As I looked around the classroom, I saw the lilac haired boy raise his hand, his head still resting on his arms. 
I got up and sat down beside him but he didnt really seem to care. 
" Hey. Im Hakkai. I guess im your new Neighbour for now. "
" Mitsuya. " he said still pretty disinterested. 
" Okayy.. " I sighed as I took out my book and started listening to the teacher. 
A while after, there was a loud gong which signaled that the break started. I saw some students leave the classroom but I somehow really wanted to stay and talk to Mitsuya. 
I was just about to say something as I saw a whih looked a bit like blonde haired, tall boy walk up to us.
" Hey. Are you new here? I never saw you here before. Anyways. "
His attention went to Mitsuya.
" Hey, sleepyhead. Didnt your Mum tell you you should stop working all night long? "
" Mhh..? "
Mitsuya slowly lifted his head to face the tall blonde guy.
" Whatdya want? I was just takinf a quick nap. "
" Just wanted to ask who this guy was. "
Mitsuya tilted his head a bit and then, our eyes interlocked. 
Suddenly, I saw a small ray of lilac forming in Mitsuyas eyes. He seemed as shocked as I was because his eyes went really wide. 
I suddenly panicked and ran out of the classroom. 
" Sorry, I gotta go ! " 
I screamed as I gathered my thinks and ran. Now, everywhere I looked there were small particles of colours all around me. My heart was so loud that I was afraid that the people around me might hear it. 
As I reached the toilets, I got into a stall and locked it up behind me. Suddenly, realisation hit me.
I just met my soulmate. His eyes looked so gorgeous and I think if I would have stared in them even  a second longer, I wouldve got lost. What is he thinking now? What if he's dissapointed? That would be really bad. Okay, chill out Hakkai, you're prepared for this. Actually, nevermind my mind is blank.
