"Hi Gorgeous," Theo greeted as his wife entered the room, making her smile and blush as she always did at his pet names and flirty personality.

"Hi handsome," she countered, going behind her divider to dress into her nightgown, having some difficulty doing it on her own due to her large bump.

"How is the little one?" he asked as she crawled into their shared bed, adjusting herself so that he would be as comfortable as she could be.

"She is doing well. She is kicking a lot, making her starve, but she is doing good. There is only a month left, and we will meet her."

"A girl, do you think it is a girl?" He asked if they hadn't spoken on genders much, truly not caring as long as they had a healthy baby that would live until they were old.

"I do. I don't know why, but I think it is a girl with your hair."

"Now that's something I would like," he agreed, making her laugh, something he loved to see. He had seen how much this pregnancy was different than the others, and at first he didn't understand it until he spoke with the king, who did as he saw it in his own first wife.

Marcella's last pregnancy and labor went well, even though she birthed a healthy baby girl, or that's what they were told, only for it to be a lie.

They had found their little girl dead in her cradle at only two days old. The screams that left his wife echoed through the hall, and he has never left his head or anyone's, for that matter. Hearing such painful screams and her pleas for the gods to bring her baby back was shattering. She was afraid she would have to go through it again.

"Marcella, I need to speak with you," he said, breaking the silence that had fallen around them.

"Ok, what is it?" she asked, turning so that he had all her attention and grabbing his hand after noticing his discomfort and agitation.

"I spoke with the maester today, and he told me some upsetting and discomforting news." He started trying to figure out how to tell her the upsetting news.

"What news, Theo?"

"The odds that I meet the baby are slim; he doesn't think I will live that long, and to be truthful, I don't either."

Her heart stopped, and tears instantly filled her eyes, letting out a laugh in disbelief. He was wrong, the maester was wrong, and they were all wrong.

"You are wrong; he is wrong. You're going to get better, and you're going to meet our little girl. You have to, because I can't do this alone. Theo, your my person, my rock," she whimpered, shaking her head.

"Marcella-"

"No, we'll figure out what's wrong; we'll fix it; we will fix you."

"Marcella!" he snapped, noticing her going off the edge.

"I love you, and I love all of our children, but I need you to be prepared. I have an infection, coughing up blood, paleness, and no appetite. All points to it. We have tried everything of the medical knowledge; obviously, this isn't curable, and I am getting worse."

"You have to meet our little girl. Then you have to watch our children grow up. What am I supposed to do without you?"

He wiped her tears before pulling her into his chest, rubbing her stomach, and smiling when he felt a soft kick.

"You will continue to live. I will always be watching over you and the kids. I will protect you from above because even if I am not here by your side, I will always be here," he said, grabbing her hand and placing it on her heart, making her nod and turning her head so she could look at him.

"I love you, Theo," she whispered, laying her head on his

"I love you, Marcella," he whispered back before getting off the bed and grabbing a box.

"This is for you, Bash, and the kids," he whispered, handing it to her.

"I need these to go to them when I am gone," he added as she looked into the box, finding letters meant for each of them with their names and events.

"I won't be here for every name day they have or their weddings, so this way I can still be there in some way," he explained, making her smile.

"I will make sure they get them, Theo," she promised, biting her lip and trying to stop the sobs that desperately wanted to come out of her husband. The man she loved, her best friend, was dying, and there was nothing she could do.

"Thank you," he whispered while she nodded.

Daemon stared out at the city of Pentos as Laena walked up to him, rubbing her stomach and smiling as she felt a kick. The sound of her heels on the stone caught his attention, and he smiled when he saw his wife walking up to him.

"Marcella has written," she informed him, to which he just hummed, kissing her head and making her smile. Her husband showed affection like a dragon would, and to her, it was sweet and a little funny.

"Rhaenyra has delivered another son."

Those words made him laugh a little, as if he were amused, because he knew it was another bastard.

"Has Marcella also mentioned if this one bears an undeniable resemblance to the commander of the city watch?" he asked, making her smile.

"She seemed to have left that detail out except that he looks just as Jace and Luke did when they were born, a tiny, innocent little thing." She read what the heir wrote, making both of them smile.

"I don't understand how they can deny the truth so clearly in front of them," he scoffed, making her roll her eyes.

"The king, I understand, but those boys are innocent, and if they were confirmed to be bastards, they would be put to the sword. Those are her nephews, whom she loves dearly. She won't let that happen. It does not mean she excuses her sister's behavior."

"I hate when you're right," he grumbled, making a laugh.

"You must hate a lot because I am always right," she jested as he admired her before she sighed, the mood dropping slightly.

"I miss my brother Daemon. I miss Marcella as much as I think you do," she whispered softly, making him scoff.

"I miss Westeros strong wine; you could depend on it for a few hours of peace," he countered, pouring out the wine he was drinking. "This is horseshit," he added.

"Daemon..." she sighed, but he just shook his head.

"We are happy here. Why do you wish to go back?" he snapped.

"Daemon, I wish to go home. This is not our home. We may be happy, but not as happy as we can be. I thought the idea of going back to her would at least please you," she yelled.

"Laena-"

"I know I am not the wife you wanted or even want now, but I have tried my best to be that for you, but you make it so hard."

"I would not have married you if I did not want you. I love you, Laena. I am happy with you and our daughter. I swear to you." He cut her off, cupping her face.

"A part of me will always love Marcella, as will a part of you," he whispered, making her look down before he made her look at him again.

"If you wish to go back to Driftmark, then we will."

"You really mean it?"

"Yes, I only worry for your safety. Though the baby will be here soon, you shouldn't be flying that long or at all."

"I will be fine," she assured him, smiling.
