bonus scene: his favorite shirt

                                    

                                          
"Mom, look at how beautiful this kingdom is. wow...can't believe that I'm seeing Jeongin after 4 years." hyunjin looked outside the window as the scene changed from the trees to the villages while the breeze pushed his hair away.
"I know honey, I am also excited about seeing my sister after so long." yeji patted his hair while his eyes remained weary in the breeze.
after half an hour, they finally reached the palace. without a second thought, hyunjin ran inside and looked for jeongin. Whenever they would find out the other one was coming, it had been a strange ritual for them to hide and scare the other. 
"jeongin..." hyunjin searched every corner but it seemed impossible to find him and then suddenly
"looking for me?" jeongin exclaimed which made hyunjin jump out of fear.
"you scared me!" Hyunjin let out a sigh of relief followed right after
"sorry hyung! How was your trip" jeongin asked while pulling him inside his room, leaving the mothers to gossip.
"I had so much fun but was a bit tired but not anymore. your kingdom seems so fun. let's go shopping someday or even today." hyunjin kept talking about it to which I.N. couldn't stop his groaning.
"relax for a while, will you? let's go to the park and then we'll figure something out." jeongin let out and hyunjin stopped talking, for a moment he looked guilty but that was crossed out as soon as he let out.
"yes that could work. now I'm hungry let's go" hyunjin put I.N in a headlock and ruffled his hair before running downstairs for food.

"hyunjin do you like this one?" yeji asked him as he just shook his head at another piece of clothes.
"I thought we came here to shop not judge" I.N let out while his mother glared at him and hyunjin seemed a bit awkward.
"uh...we can go" hyunjin look a last look at the shirt before smiling at his mother who seemed a bit annoyed. 'she wouldn't buy me a baggy shirt anyway, she doesn't really understand fashion...'
just as his mom gestured to walk out to the store his aunt stopped and went towards the shop and for a few minutes, she disappeared leaving everyone confused.
"ah, don't worry I just got something for the both of you. let's go have something." she lets out and they just look at each other before shrugging it off and heading towards an ice cream stand.

he slowly takes the present from his aunt and opens it.
"omg!!! really?!" he lets out to which his aunt gives him a soft smile.
he quickly jumps forward and hugs her "Thank you."
"I am your second mother too. don't forget that," she ruffles his hair and takes out another present this time for Yeji.
"and for the best sister in the world," Mrs. Hwang takes it and unravels it to find matching...flower crowns; the one that they would always joke about buying because it was their childhood dream. then another one for Jeongin.
he opens it to find a similar shirt to hyunjin "Thank you Mom" he lets out before practically jumping on hyunjin "We're gonna be matching! You need to wear this every day. I do not care! We need to be matching!" he screams while hyunjin was holding his ear in place in case it falls off.
"deal but please stop screaming." he lets out as I.N was babbling on about how he liked the design and that he would kill him if he didn't wear it.
the moms laughed at them while they just argued with each other.

That was why his shirt became his favorite. even though he told no one, it was understandable from the pain in his eyes he missed her when she went to heaven. Apparently, She knew but chose not to say it to others solely because of the sad memories. She was a stepmom to Jeongin yet she took an extra step for him always. jeongin was shocked after learning that but he had people to take care of him as he always said. no one knows how true it was but enough to change jeongin into a responsible king at the age of 22. he had his own pace and other's thoughts didn't matter. he knew she was happy and also acknowledged how she would stare into space maybe to claim a spot there.
that's when he knew heaven always takes back his angels...be it his second mom or his favorite memories with her.

you know how I said I'll do the epilogue? well plans are cancelled!  I'll post it around 5 days bcz I need some time for it. i can't really picture it yk..so yh! don't forget to vote and check out my new story!
