Meet The New Boss

Dean's pov

"Well, alright, then." Bobby lowered himself to his knees. "Is this good or you want the whole forehead to carpet thing?"

"Cass...." Si rasped, hardly able to pull in a breath as Sam and I followed suit.

"Stop," Cass told us, making me straighten my back. He placed a hand on the back of Si's head. "What's the point if you don't mean it? You fear me, not love, not respect. Just fear."

"Cass--" Sam took a few shaky steps forward.

"Sam, you have nothing to say to me," Cass cut him off. "You stabbed me in the back. Get up."

Bobby stood.

"Cass, come on, this is not you," I said, glancing at Si.

"The Castiel you knew is gone." He looked at her too. "I'm so sorry for the pain you have suffered." A white light emitted around the two and when it faded, Si was healed.

"So what then? Kill us?" I asked.

"What a brave little ant you are," Cass mused. "You know you're powerless. You wouldn't dare move against me again. That would be pointless. And...I made a deal with Saige here. If she helped me, I wouldn't kill you. Her loyalty saved your life. Besides, once, you were my favorite pets before you turned and bit me."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm god," Cass said as if it were obvious. "And if you stay in your place, you may live in my kingdom. If you rise up, I will strike you down. Because Saige promised to keep you in check. Violate our deal, and you die."

"What did she have to give you?"

"Just a little bit of her life force. I healed her." Cass shrugged. "And she will come to me when I call. I will need her help rebuilding the world. She is a perfect example of what a person or angel should be. Not doing so well, are you, Sam?"

"I'm fine," Sam choked out, clearing his throat. "I'm fine."

"You said you would fix him," I pointed out. "You promised."

"If you stood down, which you hardly did. Saige did try to negotiate that in there, but I couldn't let you go unpunished. Be thankful for my mercy. I could have cast you back in the pit," Cass looked at Sam.

"Cass, come on, this is nuts," I pleaded. "You can turn this around, please."

"Dean..." Si began, slowly lowering herself onto her feet as if she weren't sure she could stand on her own.

"I hope for your sake this is the last time you see me," Cass said. "Saige, you put a lot of faith in these humans, I do hope you're right in saying you can keep them in check. I sincerely wish you the best of luck." And with that, he vanished.

Blood dripped from Sam's nose as he swayed on his feet.

"Sam, you okay?" I asked.

He fell forward, dropping to his hands and knees.

"I think...I'm gonna pass out." Si swayed on her feet, then she was falling.

I rushed forward, catching her.

Saige's pov

Dean grunted, still trying to pop the hood of the Impala back out. He lay on his back, feet against the roof of the car. He groaned, slamming his hand against the roof. "Come on, baby."

"I don't know what exactly this is, but...I can't tell if I'm turned on by it or weirded out," I said, glass of water in hand as I drew closer. "Maybe both."
