After the talk, Raphael walked with Cyrus and Shafira back to the VK hideout. Raphael had learned that Shafira was staying nearby, wanting to walk her back and catch up. Mainly to talk with an old friend now missing Teyla even more as Shafira reminded Raphael of her a bit. The Wolf teen knows they would get along great if they ever meet.
"Thanks for coming with me, Shay. I appreciate it." Raphael says.
"Wow, being over in Auradon has turned you soft, wolfy," Shafira says, nudging Raphael, making him chuckle. "But it's okay. I can see you're happier than you ever were here, and I'm happy for you. You deserve it."
"You deserve it too. Maybe you can come back with us." Raphael said, and Cyrus nodded at the lion girl.
Shafira chuckles, "Maybe one day, but I have my little siblings to care for. We both know my dad ain't goin' do it." She says, and Raphael laughs, nodding.
"True. But the offer will still stand in the future. I'm sure I can convince the King to allow you to be the next VK to come over." Raphael tells her, and Shafira shrugs as the trio returns to the alleyway leading to the VK hideout.
"We'll see," Shafira says, smiling.
"Cy, you can head up to see what the others are doing and why they're not at the limo." Raphael turned to his beta, who nodded.
"Okay," Cyrus says, then grabs a rock, throws it at the sign to reveal the stairs, and heads up.
"Are you okay after seeing your dad?" Shafira asked once Cyrus was out of earshot.
"I am," Raphael sighed deeply. "Talking to him helped me a lot. Plus, I learned a lot about Mom and her family. Maybe when I get back to Auradon, I'll be able to find my grandmother."
"I hope you do." Shafira says. "I gotta go. Hopefully I'll see you again Wolf." She says starts to walks backwards as she waves to Raphael.
Raphael nods, "I hope so, Lion." He smiles, waving back at the Lion girl, and sighs once she's out of sight.
He looks down at the bullet on a necklace, holding it, thinking about his mother. Raphael hopes his grandmother will accept him and tell him more about his mother. His father never told him stories after her death, finding it too hard to talk about her, and snapped whenever Raphael mentioned her name.
