The Beauxbaton girls had been scattered into various classes as a means of having them "get the full experience" according to Dumbledore. Y/n of course had been ecstatic to be placed with the rest of her new house, especially being in the same classes as Cho. The girl seemed almost happier in the morning, bounding up to her door at the crack of dawn to make sure she was up and ready for breakfast. How she had figure out where her new dorm was still a mystery to Y/n as she groaned at the intrusion. Cho walked in to find her tucked tightly into the covers, eyes still closed as she refused to acknowledge the girl before her.
"Y/n come on we're going to be late to breakfast"
Letting out a soft sigh the said girl rose out of her bed, brushing a hand through her hair. Cho couldn't help but admire the way she still appeared ethereal in her half-awake state.
"Unbelievable you still look pretty when you wake up"
Y/n giggled softly, grabbing at the uniform she had set at the base of her bed. It felt foreign beneath her fingertips, a skirt paired with a white button up contrasting the soft fabric of her light blue Beauxbaton outfit. She carefully entered the bathroom, changing as she left her friend to explore her room.
"What classes do you have today? I want to compare timetables"
"Its just on the table if you want to have a look
She quickly traversed the room, stepping over her still packed bags to have a look at the parchment which laid on her vanity. She was pleased to find they had quite a few classes together, noting to show y/n where to go for her other classes before she got lost in the ever changing castle.
Y/n exited the bathroom, fully prepared for the day, minus her bag and class materials and Cho quickly ushered them out of the door and down the stairwell. The common room was far more vibrant than the night before, elongated windows allowing the sun to graze over the room. On top of that numerous students clad in blue were bustling around, all of whom subtly spared her a glance, minding not to stare too long. Finding their way past the door of the Ravenclaw tower, they slowly made their way towards the great hall, Y/n listening to the girl as they turned down the winding halls.
Sudden shouts could be heard ringing across the brisk morning air, seeming to get louder and louder. In confusion the two slowed down, wanting not to get too involved in what seemed to be a very loud altercation. Two ginger haired males rounded the corner, almost knocking the two Ravenclaws onto their asses as they chortled. One of the was holding what appeared to be a rolled up blank piece of parchment, waving it around whilst turning his head over his shoulder in anticipation. Cho barely pulled her newly made friend out of the way before they both got trampled, leaving her slightly stumbling, barely catching herself on the passing boy behind her.
She stumbled backwards slightly, knocking a book out of the slithering boy's hands.
"I'm so sorry"
She bent down to pick up the book which lay haphazardly in the middle of the hall. The pages appeared to be in tact, protected by the intricate hard cover, though his bookmark had exited the pages, leaving his marked page long gone. She lifted it up, reading the gold embossing.
"The three musketeers"
The boy snatched the book out of her hands, sneering down at her slightly.
"Watch where you're going idiot"
He stormed off in a hurry, stuffing the book into the deep pocket of his robe. Cho chimed in having watched the interaction after the two Weasley twins had run off.
"Well that was rude"
Y/n shook off the interaction, ushering herself forward towards the great hall once again.
"Do you know who that was?"
Cho shrugged slightly,
"Tom or Tyler or something? I don't really know a lot of the slytherins if I'm being honest. Oh look Laura saved us a seat!"
She excitedly pointed at her friend, grabbing Y/ns hand to pull her towards their table.
"Laura this is Y/n, Y/n Laura. And next to her is Peter and that one that's writing up notes is Cameron"
A bespectacled boy hurriedly looked up, glance lingering on the new girl before him before returning to his parchment, scribbling down more and more notes.
"You can call me Cam if you want, only my mum calls me Cameron"
Peter harshly slapped Cam's back letting out a childlike giggle,
"Your mum calls you pudding mate"

Arriving in their first classroom, Y/n set herself down near the back of the classroom, pulling out her various books. They were completely foreign to her, having been purchased by her family and sent directly to her dorm, never having passed her fingertips until this morning. Professor Mcgonagall entered the well lit classroom, heels echoing across the hardwood floor as she sauntered towards the centre of the room, forcing the students to quiet down their chatter. Y/n took the time to observe the other students in her classroom, either clad in blue or green robes and conversation quietly as Mcgonagall unpacked her teaching materials. One boy was surrounded by a number of loudly speaking slytherins and yet he held a bored expression, instead, choosing to stare out of the nearby window. Suddenly turning around and meeting her gaze, the same boy who had snapped at her earlier.
"Theodore!"
"Hmm?"
"The guy with the book, his name's Theodore"
"Oh"Cho returned to her bag, chuffed with the fact she had finally remembered his name.
So his names Theodore.
What a dick.
