Casey

"Come onnnnnn!" I whined as Hailey let out a small laugh as she watched me act like a child.

"Casey, you're literally nineteen, why are you acting like a child?" Hailey said with a smirk on her lips.

"Hailey don't be a bitch, god! Just... go to Disneyland with us! Please!" I begged.

By Christmas morning, Cam, Maya and Alex came to our house to drop our gifts off, and in addition, surprising us with a trip to Disneyland for the whole family (surprisingly including River, considering that Cam knew that River was spending the Christmas with us.)

Of course, that also meant that Cam finally met River and while he acted like the typical older brother at first, Cam warmed up to River a lot faster than my other bitchy brother (you know who I'm talking about.)

"Wait, who's the other ticket for?" I asked Cam. He and Maya quickly passed a glance at each other before glancing at Caleb who was completely oblivious since he was busy entertaining Alex.

"I was thinking, since we're all... paired up, maybe you could ask Hailey to come?" Cam said, which instantly made Caleb freeze on his spot before turning to Cam so fast, I'm surprised he didn't get whiplashed.

"Why?" Caleb asked and Cam just shrugged

"So you don't feel like you're a 7th wheel" Cam teased, making Caleb glare at him.

"Well, I don't know what to tell you. That bi--girl hates my guts so that ticket better be refundable" Caleb said nonchalantly before turning his attention back to Alex, making me scrunch my eyebrows in confusion.

Man, I was so sure they moved past that weird fake enemies phase, why's Caleb cringing at the thought of Hailey?

Before anyone else could say anything, I quickly grab the ticket from Cameron's hand and grin.

"Don't worry I'll convince Hailey" I tell Cam.

After chilling with my family for the morning, we all re-grouped. Cam asked Caleb and River to hang out with him, while my parents and Maya talked about some stuff in the backyard while they watched Alex played.

I, on the other hand, was about to go next door to convince Hailey to come, but before I could leave, River stops me.

"You sure you can convince Hailey?" River asked

"Of course!" I confidently answered "Won't take a while, I promise" I add, but River just looks at me like he wasn't sure. But if he wasn't, he didn't dissuade me from going next door anyway.

Which brings us to me and Hailey on her front porch while I loudly begged her ass to go to Disneyland with my family.

"As much as I want to, I really can't. We got some family thing to do tomorrow" Hailey said

"What family thing?!" I asked her and Hailey just shrugged.

"Nana's coming to visit us 'til New Year" Hailey simply answered. Hailey was her nana's favorite grandchild so it definitely was a need that she be home for when she gets here.

And as much as I understood, it still sucked that my convincing powers didn't work this time.

I'd say this was the first time, but this is maybe the 10th time that I couldn't convince Hailey to do something. 10 out of a thousand attempts though, so that's a good enough record.

"Ugh, fine! I understand" I tell Hailey as I pout and put my head down to guilt trip her. It wasn't gonna convince her to go but it was enough to make her guilty MUHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!
