Natsu POV
"And then she said we couldn't be friends because we dated each other before. Isn't that crazy?"
"Not really."
I was currently at Lisanna's house and telling her about what had transpired between Lucy and I.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, she's not wrong. If my boyfriend was hanging out with his ex, I would be pissed, too. On top of that, you tried to hide it."
"But we were just hanging out."
"Natsu, that's not the problem. If Lucy doesn't like it, then you don't do it."
"But that would mean I couldn't hang out with you anymore."
She gave me a sad smile. "It's probably for the best anyway."
"What do you mean?"
"Natsu..."
"Tell me Lisanna."
"My feelings are not gone. They never were. I'm afraid if I spend anymore time with you I may not be able to move on and that will not do either of us good in the end."
"Lisanna..." She held her hand up to silence me.
"You don't have to say anything I know what you're going to say. You have moved on to someone else and I haven't yet. Its quite pathetic if you think about it. I'm still hanging onto a sliver of hope that maybe you would come back to me."
"Its not pathetic. You cant expect someone else to come along that quickly."
She scoffed. "It worked for you. You need to go back to Lucy and apologize."
"But I-"
"No, go ahead. You don't need to do anything. I'm fine I expected this to happen anyway."
"Okay."
I pulled her into a hug and didn't need to look at her face to know she was trying not to cry. She pushed me away after awhile and her mouth twitched up in a smile.
"Go apologize."
I walked out her door but I swear I heard her whisper 'Thank you'. I got to Lucy's house and I knew something was wrong. Starting with how her door was slightly open. I walked in and the tv was still on.
"Lucy!!!"
Silence.
"Luce!!!"
I ran around the house and I couldn't find her. I checked the last place which was the kitchen. I really wasn't expecting to see anything there that's why I went there last. The first thing I saw was the bouquet of flowers then I saw a busted Sprite can and last I saw the syringe.
I opened the note attached to the bouquet. It said:
This is a declaration of war. Do you accept?
If you do, come get your girlfriend.
Under that was a Sabertooth symbol. I sighed and picked the syringe up off of the floor. He really wasn't giving me a choice. He wanted a gang war. I sniffed the substance in the syringe and drew my face back at the strong smell. He gave her something strong to knock her out for a few hours. He must have known she was going to put up a fight. I pulled out my phone and called Gray.
"Gray."
"Yeah?"
"Get everyone ready. We're going to war."
"With who?"
"I'll answer your question when I get there. Just get everyone ready and make sure they are locked and loaded when I get there."
"Alright."
"Thanks."
"No problem."
I ended the call and walked outside. Sting made a terrible decision by taking something of mine and thinking he was going to get away with it. It just makes me more determined to win this war.
At the base~~
"Everyone calm down. Let me explain." The talking continued and got louder. I sighed and looked at Gray. He pulled his gun out and fired off a few shots. Everybody got quiet then.
"Thank you, Gray. Now, I know everybody is excited but we need to plan this out. We aren't dealing with the usual gangs we are going against Sabertooth."
"Why would Sabertooth want war with us? We are almost equal in power."
"My guess is that they want the top spot. To be #1 gang in the country."
"I have a question. Why did you accept the declaration?"
I clenched my fists. "They have Lucy." Everyones eyes widened. Juvia jumped out of her seat in an outrage.
"How did they get Lucy? That girl knows how to defend herself. She wouldn't go down without an fight!!!"
"See, that's the thing I don't get. She must have let her guard down so it had to be someone she knew. They got close enough to where they could knock her out."
"Sting...it had to be.." Levy whispered to herself. Erza nodded beside her.
I bet you are wondering why Levy and Erza are here. I told them about what happened and they wanted to participate. I tried to talk them out of it but they wouldn't budge and Erza is just plain scary.
"Wait..Sting? As in Sabertooth leader Sting?" Elfman asked.
"Yeah, I guess. That's the only other person she would let her guard down around."
"Nevermind that. We need to make a plan of action."
"Alright. Levy, get me the blueprint of Sabertooths' building."
"Why do we have a blueprint of Sabertooths building?"
"Safe keeping. Now go get it."
I blew out an irritated breath and waited impatiently. Gray walked over and gave me a reassuring pat on the back.
"We'll get her back. I'm sure she can handle herself until then so just relax."
I was about to answer back but then Levy came rushing back in with the blueprints.
"Here you go."
"Alright, how many floors?"
"Three."
"Okay so Lucy will most likely be held on the second or third floor. So we need two teams. One coming in from the bottom and another from the top. One team will go with me and the other will go with Gray."
"Alright, everyone split up and move out."
