“You want roti?”

Umeed nodded her head slightly. Farjaad picked up the basket having naans and rotis and put it infront of her so that she can pick it up.

“Thankyou.”

He looked at her and then said.

“I told you na. Sirf thankyou sy kaam nhi chalta.”

Umeed smiled and started eating.

Mehmal clocked off for the day and went towards the parking lot. Sitting inside the car she opened her phone and saw 20 missed calls from her mother and a lot of text messages. One text message was from Umeed she opened it up.

“Auntie called me as you weren't picking up. Mein ny bola you're busy. Call her when you get off work. I'm at the party will catch up later. Love ya.”

She smiled and replied an ‘Ok’ and then started her car driving back. She knew if she called her mom right now. She'll start nagging as always and to handle that she needed to get home and change.

Meanwhile, Behram was in a mess. A lot of workload with that call. He can recognize that voice very clearly. That man who ruined his mother's life, left both of them without any shelter. The man he hated the most. He came back. What was his purpose, why is he calling him. What is he up to now? All those thoughts were making Behram crazy. His head was aching badly, he wanted to remove all those memories leaving no trace of them behind. He didn't told a word to both his best friends as they are busy with their work and he does not want to trouble them anymore. He's just like that always caring for others and carrying his own burdens without giving a hint to his loved ones.

Rishael parked the car and went inside. Today he came back home early as he wanted to have dinner with his mom and have some good time with her. That woman gave everything to him, he can't imagine hurting her or seeing her in pain. She deserved his love and attention and Rishael Ahmed made sure he gives her deserves time and attention to her no matter how much busy is he.

He changed into a white T shirt and sweatpants and came downstairs. His hair still wet from the shower he took. His mother was already standing there smiling he went near her and she kissed his forehead.

“Aa gaya mera beta. Chalo khaana khaate hein.”

Both of them went and sat on the dinner table and started eating. After some moments of silence Rishael's mom spoke.

“You know auntie Rubab?”

He was putting the kebab in his mouth looked at her and nodded.

“Hmm.”

“I called her yesterday.”

“Ahan. Kesi hein woh. Uncle kese hein.”

“Donon theek hein. Sub busy hein apni life mein unki beti ab job karti hy or beta medical college mein hy.”

“That's impressive.”

Also”

He looked at his mother with an eyebrow raised. She definitely has something up her sleeve. Or else she wouldn't be pausing in between the conversation. He spoke again.

“Kya kia hy aap ny maa.”

“Both of us talked about your and her daughter's rishta.”
