I stare into the crackling fire in front of me as I listen to Darius tell a spooky story. The night sky filled with clouds as we hoped it didn't rain and ruin the story.
"We thought it'd be fun. We thought we'd be safe, but... we didn't realise the horror waiting for us on the island. Claws... teeth... screaming... so much screaming." Darius tells the story as I lean forward more, awaiting what happens next.
"How much screaming?" Ben asks, clinging to Kenji's arm in fear.
"Shh! He's getting to the good part." Kenji replies, leaning forward beside me.
"The T-Rex stalked closer. Her jaws opened wide." Before Darius could say anything else a camera clicks, flashing a light and slightly blinding Darius. We all turn to look at Brooklynn in annoyance.
"What? Huh?" She looks at us all. "For the vlog." She explains. "Keep telling your little story." Darius puts the hood of his jacket back on.
"Oh, here we go." Kenji leans forward, me doing the same waiting for Darius to keep telling the story. 
"The T-Rex star-" Darius gets cut off.
"Dang!" Brooklynn looks at her phone.
"Ugh!" Kenji whines, leaning his face in his hands.
"Out of space. Wait, I'm sorry, hold on. I just don't wanna delete my selfie on Everest, you know?" Brooklynn shows Sammy and I the photo.
"Well, it is good." I reply, a little upset with her interruption with the story.
"Maybe I should start over." Darius informs us.
"No!" I jump at Ben's outburst. "In fact, you can just stop." 
"Dude, chill. He's not even telling the story right now." Kenji explains, annoyed. "And how is your grip this strong?" Kenji leaned closer to me as he tried to pull his arm only for Ben not to move, making me chuckle.
"Keep going, Darius. It's getting really good." I say in hopes he'll continue. Darius nods, putting the hood back on.
"So, the T-Rex stalked-" Darius gets cut off.
"Shouldn't we call Yasmina over?" Sammy asks us. "I bet she'd love this story." I groan, banging my head on Kenji who's beside me.
"I think she wants to be by herself right now, Sammy." I explain as we all look at Yasmina over by the railing.
"I don't understand." Sammy shakes her head with a frown.
"You know how sometimes people just wanna be left alone?" Kenji glances at Ben who's still clinging onto his arm. Sammy suddenly starts chuckling, confusing me.
"Kenji, you're hilarious. I think she's just shy and doesn't know how to make friends." Sammy explains to us. Thunder rumbles suddenly, making me jump a little at how sudden it was. We jump up covering our heads once the rain starts pouring down. "Maybe we should go inside."
"Way ahead of you." Ben shouts, running up the stairs and back inside.
"Aw, come on!" Kenji cried out as we all ran inside.
"Oh, it's coming down fast." Sammy says.
"Well, that was a waste of time." Brooklynn states as soon as we get inside. 
"Darius, it wasn't that great of a story. I wasn't engrossed or anything." Ben tells Darius who's behind us all. 
"Hey, I was! I'm still curious about what happens next." I tell Ben as Darius gives a small thankful smile.
