Alex was in the breakroom reading the fully translated code off a notebook Robin had let her borrow. "The week is long. The silver cat feeds. When blue meets yellow in the west. A trip to china sounds nice if you tread lightly." Meanwhile, Robin was serving Erica .

On the other side of the mall Steve and Dustin were hiding behind a bush sharing a pair of binoculars. "You see anything?" Dustin asked as Steve had the binoculars. "Uh, I guess I don't totally know what I'm looking for." he answered honestly.

"Evil Russians." Dustin stated as if it was the most obvious thing ever. "Yeah, exactly. I don't know what an evil Russian looks like." Steve retorted.

"Tall, blonde, not smiling." Dustin stereotyped. "Also look for ear pieces, duffel bags. That sort of thing." He added.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Steve sighed when he saw one of the girls he lost a point on the bet to, flirting with a boy in Steve's grade. "What?" Dustin asked thinking Steve was on topic.

"Anna Jacobi's talking with the meathead Mark Lewinski." Steve complained. "If you're not gonna focus just give me the binoculars." Dustin ordered.

"Aw, Jesus Christ. Whatever happened to standards? I mean Lewinski never even came off the bench." Steve insulted as he continued to glare at the two. "Dude! You are the worst spy in history, you know that?" Dustin asked sarcastically. Dustin snatched the binoculars from Steve but the string was still round his neck.

"I don't get why you're looking at girls. You have the perfect one in front of you." Dustin informed.

"Seriously if you say Lex again." Steve shook his head. He hated lying to Dustin but he couldn't deny that if he knew he would tell everyone and then Hopper would find out and that would mean the end of his and Alex's relationship and that was more important to him then a white lie to Dustin.

"Lex. Alex. Alexia. Two." He repeated the different variations of her name.

"N- No man. She- She's not my type. Shes not even... She's not even in the ball park... of my type." Steve stuttered. "What's your type again? Not awesome? And you clearly liked her at some point. You seemed awfully close last year." Dustin referred to the second Upside Down incident.

"For your information she's retaking her senior yeah. And she- she gets all hyper when she's comfortable with someone and- and she always puts everyone else first no matter what she's been through. Also! She can be insanely clingy cause she's touch deprived and she's impossible to be mad at cause she just makes everything better." Steve rambled.

"You realise everything you've listed are good things. Right?" Dustin stared at the boy blankly. "Also you know fully well she has to retake senior year cause she didn't get a good education in the lab." He defended.

"And she took drama. That's a bad look." Steve tried to make it seem like he wasn't in a relationship with her but clearly wasn't doing a good job.

"Are you lying?" Dustin furrowed his eyebrows. "What? Pfft. No." Steve laughed.

"Why are you lying? What's going on?" Dustin questioned. Steve paused looking around the area to make sure Alex wasn't nearby.

"Okay listen. You cannot tell Alex I told you this but we've been dating since your stupid snow ball. We've been keeping it a secret cause Hop will bury me if he knew." Steve whispered.

"This whole time?!" Dustin yelled.

"Will you shut up. I wasn't supposed to tell you." Steve scolded through gritted teeth. While the two were arguing Alex was secretly using her powers to find and Russians at Starcourt.
