I DROPPED TO THE GROUND, a grunt coming from my throat as I did. 
A white light streamed from Vanya's hand into the sky, going through the roof of the hall and into the distance. 
I jumped to the stage, Luther, Klaus, Diego, Five and Allison all around Vanya. I stood a little bit away to give the family their moment, but Klaus then stood, looking towards the skylight, the one that had been shattered with Vanya's final release of power. 
"Uhhhh." Klaus started, "Guys?" He pointed towards the sky, all of us looking up as well. "You see that big moon rock coming towards us?" He sounded scared. I made my way over and put my arm around him. 
Fuck hating physical touch, this could be my final moments on earth. 
"That's not good." Luther muttered, standing with us now. "So this is it, huh? So much for... saving the world." Klaus spoke, looking down at me, placing his arm around me too. 
"If only Sir Reginald Hargreeves could see us right now, huh?" Diego grumbled behind me, placing a hand on my shoulder. "The Umbrella Academy." He paused, "A total failure." 
We looked towards the sky for a moment, before our focus was on Luther. "At least we're together at the end. As a family." I went to speak up but Luther looked at me. "After this, you're definitely part of it." He sent a small smile my way, making me smile a little too. 
"This doesn't have to be the end." Five spoke up, causing our heads to turn towards him. "What? What are you saying, Five?" Luther asked. 
"I think I have a way outta here. But you gotta trust me on this." He had a scared look in his eye, but he was masking it with a stony expression and a tough stance. Everyone let out small groans and disagreements to trusting Five, but I stepped forward. "And what is this idea, Five?" I asked. 
"We use my ability to time travel. But this time, I'll take you with me." He looked around at us all as he spoke. "You can do that?" Diego raised a brow at the boy's proposition. "I don't know. I've never tried it before." Diego just gave in, "What's the worst that can happen?"
"You're looking at it. A 38 year old man inside a child's body, so there's that." Five pointed out, making me scoff a laugh.
Diego was the first to agree to Five's crazy plan, Klaus being the second. Luther then followed, asking Allison if she was in as well, to which she gave a nod. Luther asked about Ben as well, to which Klaus agreed for him. 
"Estelle?" Five turned towards me, waiting patiently for my answer. "Of course I'm in. In fact, I'll help." Five only nodded at me, giving me a small smile of appreciation, one that I gave back. 
"Okay, great. Luther, grab Vanya." Five commanded, Luther moving to do so. "Wait, should we be taking her?" He asked, "I mean, if she's the cause of the apocalypse... isn't that like taking the bomb with us?"
Five shut him down fast. "The apocalypse will always happen, and Vanya will always be the cause, unless we take her with us and fix her." 
A large bang was heard, that being our cue to get into a circle and hold one another. I was between Five and Allison. 
I held Five's hand tightly, him looking at me and nodding. "Ready?" He asked. "As ready as I'll ever be." I smiled, both of us activating our powers, a wild wind whipping around us. 
I closed my eyes for a second, and there they were. The younger versions of everyone at the umbrella academy. I smiled at them all. 
"Thank you for letting me be a part of your family." 
And with that... we were gone.
