"What's going on???" Blake asks, slightly breathless.
"Well, we stayed at my parents' last night and got home around noon. When we got home, something felt wrong, so I got out told Natalie to lock the car doors, and I went to run the houses perimeter. And that's the last thing I remember before everything went black," I say. "I woke up like 20 minutes ago and immediately remembered Natalie was supposed to be in the car. I run around here, and she's gone," I add tears starting to sting my eyes.
"Hey. We'll find her son. I promise," Blake says, laying his hand on my back, and I nod.
"Definitely the witches and warlocks that have her. All I smell is dark magic around the car. And I found Natalie's phone. They knew we would try to track her by the phone, so they left it before they took her," Nathan says, coming up to his dad and I.
"Fuck," I say. "Can you guys track her scent???" I ask.
"We can. But I'm going to warn you it'll be very, very faint due to the dark magic," Blake informs me, and I nod.
"Let's get started then," I say.
"You need to continue going to school, Alex. It's your senior year," Nathan says.
"I'm not going back to school without Natalie," I say, glaring at him. He puts his hands up and murmurs an ok. We go in the house, and I hand them her favorite hoodie of mine.
"I'll get this back to our trackers at the pack house. They'll hopefully be able to find her," Blake says.
"I hope so. I hope you know I'm going to be involved in this," I say.
"As you should be. I think Natalie would prefer you to be the one she sees first," Blake says, pulling me into a hug. "We WILL find her, Alex," he adds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Natalie's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wake up in a dark room groaning with a major headache. There's silver cuffs bounding my hands and ankles to a chair. I know they're silver because I can feel the familiar sting that the chain had around my body with Dana.
"Well, hello, sleeping beauty," I hear a familiar voice say.
"Where am i??" I ask.
"The witches cavern," she says. Why can't I pinpoint thay voice?? "Trying to figure out who I am???" She asks. I can hear the smirk in her voice.
The girl steps into the light, and I gasp. "Sierra???? But why??" I ask. "Alex trusts you and loves you so much," I say.
"Well, I got into magic. Realized I wasn't very strong, then I met this guy at the coffee shop. He told me he knew what I was and how to make me stronger. When Alex brought you to dinner, I automatically could tell you were a hybrid, and you were the one the guy told me about," she says. "I just didn't think you would end up with my protective ass little brother," she adds with a sneer.
"But why Sierra?? I thought you liked me," I say.
"Oh, I do. And I hate that I'm having to do this to my little brother. But I want more power," she says.
"But I'm pregnant, remember. I'm carrying your niece or nephew Sierra!!!" I practically scream. For a moment, I think I see regret and hesitation flash across her face, but she instantly masks it.
"I know. Which makes this so much harder. Especially since you're only 13 weeks pregnant, the baby can't survive without you," she says, sighing. "So we are going to be waiting a few weeks. Until you're about 24 weeks," she adds, walking over to me and wrapping a small silver chain around my neck. I wince at the sting from it.
