As Tamaki ran away to the foyer, you gave the older Higashikata a not-so-reassuring thumbs up. "Don't worry, Norisuke. We planned for this. Your daughter will be fine."

"W-What...?"

You once again dropped the fake cheery attitude, letting the man know you were being serious. "She'll be okay. I promise."

You jogged over to the front door. Tamaki was working quickly, having just finished cutting out Gappy's liver. So, you kicked the glass door, making it slam into Tamaki's side. He stumbled back, falling onto his bum.

"Not so cocky now, are you?" Kars had a smug look on his face as he leaned on your shoulder.

"You...!" Tamaki clenched his fist, crumpling the bill in his hand. "I can still kill Josefumi!"

"Right, right. We're not saying you're incapable or anything." You were mocking him now, mostly just buying some time for Hato's arrival. "But your execution could use some work."

"Perhaps we're being too biased." Kars continued. "I think a fresh pair of eyes could do us some good."

A large bubble containing Hato popped next to you. Gappy had collected her with some bubbles and sent her out of the house through the chimney. Tears ran down her face as she stood up.

"Hato?!" Tamaki was even more taken aback. "How? You're outside?!" He couldn't believe that two people had managed to escape his Stand.

Before he could say anything else, Hato silently raised a leg. The heel of her shoe extended rapidly, piercing through the glass and Tamaki's throat.

"Gah!" He coughed up some blood. "H...Hato..." His gaze went to the still melted Gappy. "Josefumi, you stupid brat! You sent her out of my range so she could attack me!"

"That's not... entirely true." Despite his best efforts, Gappy hadn't been able to convince Hato of Tamaki's misdeeds. "She never stopped believing in you."

"Yes." Kars confirmed his words. "She only brought me in with her because I lied about not wanting to hurt you."

Hato momentarily retracted her heel before doing a quick series of kicks, filling her ex-boyfriend's body with a few more holes.

He rolled into the living room, trying to escape her range. "Hato! I just wanted to find that Josuke guy! I was going to turn your family back to normal this whole time! I really do love you from the bottom of my heart!" As if those words would at all justify what he'd done.

Hato maintained her silence and walked up the side of the house, Dio style. Her Stand followed right behind her.

As she did this, you returned to your spot by the windows so you could continue to keep an eye on the enemy.

"Is there anyone else working with you? No... I suppose not." You answered your own question. "You'd have called them over to help you, right? Unless you really were just that full of yourself." You leaned closer to the window, giving your best intimidating look.

"If any of your comrades had shown up..." Josuke decided to add on. "This purge of yours might've been a success. But you're alone. You should leave this house as fast as you can or Hato will defeat you."

Despite everything that had happened to him, Tamaki still believed he'd be able to deal with the situation if it were only Hato. He viewed you as the bigger threat. "Why did you let Yotsuyu live?" If he could figure that out, maybe he'd have a chance of surviving himself.

You placed your hands on your hips, listening to the clacking of heels on the roof. "We made a deal. A bargain of sorts."

Kars noticed a twinge of unease in the enemy's eyes and decided to expand upon it. "In exchange for telling us about the Rokakaka and the rest of your little scheme, we let him live."
