I was walking through the broken halls of the black site, going through any door that would open. Yelling for Sebastian to show himself, I knew he could hear me.
I leaned against a wall, getting tired from my constant movement. Then, I was grabbed and pulled to the roof into a vent. "Stop screaming. You'll just attract wall dwellers." Sebastian whispered, leaning above me. My eyes softened as they met his. I was so mad I didn't even think about my actions, at how much danger I was putting myself in. But I was still upset nonetheless. I sit up and turn around to glare down at him as he lays on the vent floor. "Why did you just let her kill me?" I barred my teeth on that last word, my anger boiling to the surface, making my face red. He merely looked at me serenely before sighing as it changed to a despite look of defeat. He couldn't tell me, I knew that, but I wanted to know why he couldn't. "Tell me why you can't tell me. At least give me that, " I asked gently, leaning down, meeting him eye to eye.

"I'm contracted to keep you looping. Another company wants the information of this one, it has offered me and the others freedom in return." He sounded stern, as if he needed to speak carefully. I know he needed to. He'd get shocked if he didn't. I lay down with him, and the safety of the cold metal against the palm of my hands felt relaxing. "I want to let the others out. They're just as intelligent as you and me." He growled this through his teeth. It angered him that they were kept here. They've been trapped here as prisoners like the rest of us. They may even have been falsely accused like him. After all, fear and anger can lead to a murderer.
I reached for him, like I always do. But unlike the other times, my hands land on his back. They pull me close to him, laying my forehead on his as I close my eyes. "I can help. You just have to tell me how, " I muttered to him, my hands begging to shake. Tears weld up in my eyes, and I tried to hold them back. But he just wiped them away. "You were always so loving towards me, I still can't understand why." He backed away, pushing to lower me back down to the previous room. His words confused me. I looked at him, worried for what he meant. But then a screeching in the distance caused me to snap my head to look down the hall before he spoke again. "For now, all you need to do is die." He said it harshly, I took a step back, ready to run to the nearest locker. But I couldn't, I froze in place.

Pinkie's screeching got louder, barreling through the halls at top speed until she reached mine. I covered my face prepared for the swift death to come. But it never came. It fell silent. Then, I felt a tugging on my shirt, I looked down to see a young, sickly looking girl. Four eyes on her face, with a pink hue. It was the creature. The one who'd been killing me so fast was a child. She started to sign at me, but at seeing my confusion, she attempted to speak. "Have you seen Sebby?" She said each word carefully, putting a lot of thought into the sentence. I just looked up, seeing him climb down to us. He kneeled to the ground to get eye level, then spoke as he signed back to her. "I'm right here, don't worry." He smiled softly as she ran up to hug him, signing again before looking at me. She seemed more scared than I was. He glanced at me before lifting his hands off her shoulders to respond again. "He's safe, I promise." He was being so gentle, I doubt I've ever seen him this kind. Yet, it seemed so familiar to me. But my train of thought was interrupted by him standing as he looked at me. "Don't just lay there, pandem isn't as nice." He said it teasingly, picking up Pinkie before he slithered away. I got up as quickly as I could to follow him.

As he sets her on the table in his shop, I notice the angler on her head, the end being wrapped in a bandage. He shifts through a drawer, pulling out a lollipop to hand to her. Then, she signed to him, and I waited as he answered. "Yes, I can take a look." He unwrapped her angler, showing how it ended in a stitched stub. After some examining, he placed the old bandage to the side, then grabbed a new pink one covered in flowers. Pinkie bounced in excitement, almost yelling before Sebastian gave her a soft shush. She covered her mouth as he wrapped her angler back up again. "The pretty pink one, just as I promised." He lifted her off the table and placed her on the floor before patting her back as she ran out of the room. I looked back at him. He was just sorting through his data. "Are they all like that?" I questioned what I've seen. They all have killed me more than once, but now I wonder if they're all just as scared, just as traumatized as the rest of us. Sebby didn't answer, just looked at me softly with a nod. "And then what's your story?" I walk closer as I ask, eventually making my way to the table, laying forward on it.

"You've read my file, you know -" "No, i don't. Tell me what happened, how you were framed." I cut him off. This isn't a question I'd let him avoid. He just looked at me with a glare before he sighed in defeat.
