"You wanted to see me?" Reva said, her voice carrying a mix of curiosity and caution as she reached the rooftop of the school, spotting Edgar standing there.

"Yes" Edgar turned towards her, a brief smile tugging at his lips.

"Why?" Reva's brow furrowed as she approached him.

"To tell you how I feel again" he responded, causing her to make a half-hearted attempt to leave, which he playfully thwarted.

"I was kidding" he chuckled, his expression lightening.

"It better be" Reva retorted with a hint of skepticism before settling back in her spot.

"Are you happy with him?" Edgar's voice held a calm sincerity as he gazed off into the distance.

"Yes!" Reva's affirmation held a resolute conviction, prompting a soft sigh from Edgar.

"Then I'm happy that you're happy" he said, a shadow of pain lingering behind his smile.

"Let's go back to being good friends" he proposed.

Reva hesitated, her gaze momentarily averted.

"If you do anything absurd, I'm killing you" she warned.

"Don't worry, I haven't planned on winning you back just yet" he quipped, a mischievous grin dancing on his lips.

"You're after the Doomfire Elixir" Reva stated, and Edgar nodded, his gaze momentarily distant.

"Heard it's realm is built with tortures" she muttered, sounding worried.

"I've endured my share of torments" Edgar replied.

"Well, don't expect me to care if you don't make it back in one piece" Reva shrugged, her facade tough but not entirely concealing the underlying concern.

"I know you will" he grinned, and she scoffed.

They stood there in silence, side by side, their gazes fixed on the empty expanse before them, words left unspoken, emotions lingering like echoes in the breeze.

"Dude, what's your problem? Why do you keep dropping the ball?" Vernon's voice echoed through the basketball court as the ball slipped from Phoenix's grasp.

"Sorry" Phoenix mumbled, his tone devoid of energy.

"What's up with your attitude lately? Haven't been fucking enough pussies?" Lucien's voice chimed in with a smirk.

"It's not that, dickhead!" Phoenix retorted.

"Don't give me your fucking title!" Lucien shot back, tossing a ball at him.

With a heavy sigh, Phoenix trudged over to the row of seats and collapsed into one. Lucien exchanged a knowing glance with Vernon before they both approached him.

"What do you call it when a thought keeps gnawing at your mind?" Phoenix asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"What thought are we talking about here?" Vernon inquired, leaning against the chairs, while Lucien settled down beside him.

"Forget it" Phoenix replied, frustration still lingering.

"Isn't it obvious? He's talking about a girl" Lucien mumbled, eyes shut.

"What? Our skirt raiser is in love!!?" Vernon laughed, earning a glare from Phoenix.

"Shut the fuck up, I never said that!" Phoenix snapped, his irritation flaring.
