"Do you have any plans for today, sweetie," Inko asked her son as they sat around the dining table.

"I was going to go into the forest as usual to check for injured animals," Izuku tells her. "After that, I was going to test out some more plant hybrids I wanted to try."

"Sometimes, I can't tell if you're a botanist or a mad scientist," Hisashi chuckled as he ruffled his son's hair.

"Dad, do you have to go for the hair every time," Izuku tried in vain to tame his wild hair.

"It's not my fault that you got my crazy hair while getting your color from your mother," Hisashi smirked.

"Considering my Quirk, I like that mom gave me her hair color," Izuku created a rose in his hand and gave it to Inko. "Thank you, mom."

Inko giggled at the silly reason she was just thanked for. But, she accepted the rose anyway.

"No problem, sweetie," she responded.

They appeared so normal and yet the Midoriya family was anything but normal. After all, it was only normal in the world they currently lived in. If it was still the pre-Quirk era, it definitely would not be normal for a family to consist of a fire-breathing husband, a mother who can summon small objects to her hands, and a son who can control nature. But, in their Quirked society, some families were a lot weirder than theirs.

"So, are you working on anything new at work, dad," Izuku asked his father.

"We did recently work with Present Mic," Hisashi tells him. "He needed to have his speakers repaired after one of his latest battles. He also requested a support item that would help shield his allies against his sonic screams."

"Can't they just use earplugs," Inko never did understand most support technology, but that was why it was her husband's area of expertise.

"Quirk-powered abilities like Present Mic's are too much for normal earplugs," Izuku says. "Earplugs are meant to keep out or muffle normal types of sounds. But, Present Mic's Quirk is more than just sound. Whenever he uses his sonic attacks, he weaponizes sound waves into an attack that causes his opponents a lot of pain. Even when they try covering their ears, it does very little to help them. This is a similar reason why normal earplugs wouldn't work, either. I've seen news footage of his sound waves being able to send villains flying or breaking through solid concrete walls. His Quirk is very interesting with how he can use sound in such a way. I often wonder if it is just with his voice or if it can activated with any sound he can..."

"Izuku," Hisashi stopped his son. "You're mumbling again."

"Oops," Izuku shyly rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry about that."

"You don't need to apologize, dear," Inko tells her son. "We love how you're able to analyze Quirks but keep in mind those who can't keep up with you when you mumble."

"This does make me want to take you to work with me," Hisashi chuckled. "I want to see what happens with my coworkers when they see how much smarter you are than them."

"You are not using our son against your coworkers, Hisashi," Inko playfully slapped her husband on his shoulder.

"Hey, you can't blame me when some of them obviously were barely able to graduate from whatever school they attended," Hisashi says. "Especially the team that had been assigned as Midnight's support team. She might be known as the 'R-Rated Hero' but that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve actual support tools."

"I always did think that whip she carries around looked like it was more for show," Inko said.

"Another reason for me to dislike humans," Izuku shook his head.
