Emma woke up to her alarm that Saturday morning. The sun seemed brighter peeking through her curtains. She smiled, throwing her blankets off her. She let her mind wonder to the events of yesterday. She could still feel Buck's lips on hers. She made her way to the kitchen, starting her coffee. As it was brewing, she pulled on blue scrubs and took the time to run a straightener through her hair. She even put on a little makeup. She wanted to look nice today because Buck was coming to have dinner with her tonight.

She poured her coffee into her go cup, checking her phone. She had a message from Buck. This caused a smile to spread across her face.

Good morning, Dr.Riley. I am excited to see your pretty face today.

The message made Emma blush slightly.

I am looking forward to it as well, Mr.Evan Buckley.

Emma decided this was a good response. Her mind cut to Claire. She would have to call her tonight and tell her about Buck. She has not talked to her friend since earlier in the week at the hospital. Emma made her way downstairs, to her car, and drove to the hospital. When she got to the emergency room, she was surprised not to see Austin. He must be seeing people, Emma thought.

She sat at her computer and pulled up her patient list. She did not have any emergency room patients assigned to her. However, she did pull up Eddie's name. His PT/OT has been going well based off his reports. He was looking about another week in the hospital. Emma gathered her things, heading to Eddie's room to let him know the good news.

When she made it to Eddie's room, he was fast asleep. However, a man she recognized was sitting beside him. It was Bobby Nash. He had a rosary out, softly praying for his friend. Emma tried to be quiet as she checked the fluids in Eddie's IVs. However, Bobby opened his eyes and met her gaze. He smiled, putting his rosary down.

"Good morning, Emma." He spoke.

He had very kind eyes and facial features.

"Good morning." Emma said, jotting Eddie's levels down. "I wasn't expecting anyone to be here this early."

"I come early in the mornings before work. I like to pray for him. It makes me feel better."

Emma smiled at Bobby. "He's lucky to have friends like all of you. A support system is huge when you are going through trauma like this. Eddie has been healing at a very impressive rate. He is also killing his PT and OT. I actually came to tell him that he can be discharged next week. However, I won't wake him."

"We can let him know."

Emma nodded, "Thank you, Bobby. It was good to see you."

Emma turned, walking towards the exit.

"Emma." Bobby spoke.

She turned on her heels, looking at him. "Yes?"

"Buck has been through a lot. He seems to really like you. I just don't want to see him get hurt. When Buck cares, he cares hard."

Emma bit her lip.

"I have also been through a lot." Emma said, "I really like Buck as well. I have been enjoying getting to know him. I would hate for anyone to think I take that for granted."

Bobby smiled, "I like you better than I thought I did, Emma."

"Have a good day." She said to Bobby.

She walked back to her desk. Austin was sitting at his.

"Good morning, baddie Emma." Austin said, watching as she sat down.

"Baddie is a new one." Emma smarted off.
