This part is from George’s point of view.

Driving up and down the streets of London, I checked every single place where I knew she could be hiding. There was just no sign of Sammy anywhere. Her phone was off as I’d tried calling her hundreds of times but it went straight to answer machine. Nobody knew where Sammy was – not even Lisa and she was supposed to know where she was at all times.

Pulling up to the apartment block, I ran back inside to see if she had changed her mind, but the letters were still in our mail box – it was always Sammy’s thing to get the mail whenever she came in as I always forgot. I got up to the apartment and found it empty. Falling back onto the bed, I laid staring at the ceiling, trying to think of where else she could be. As I laid in silence, there was a knock at the front door. Sitting up as fast as I could, I bolted into the corridor and opened the front door, praying that I’d open it to see Sammy with her perfect smile on her face.

“George!”

“Rio? What the fuck do you think you’re doing here?” I asked, looking at Rio as she stood in the doorway, grinning at me.

“Well since she’s gone we might as well make a go of things,” she grinned, pulling her suitcase that was propped up behind her towards the door where I was stood.

“Rio, what the fuck do you think you’re doing here?” I repeated myself.

“Why hide it George?” she smiled. “We all know how you feel about me.”

“No,” I argued. “We all know how I feel about Sammy. You can’t do this. You’re destroying my relationship with Sammy with your lies. Enough is enough.”

“But George..”

I stopped her. “Don’t George me,” I snapped.

“But..”

“No,” I said aggressively. “You had no right sending that letter when you know none of it is true.”

“But there is some truth in it,” she smiled, walking up to me and standing right in front of me, looking up at me. “You belong with me and not that bitch.”

“That bitch?” I asked. “’That bitch’ is the girl I love and wanna spend the rest of my life with. You blatantly have never experienced love, but when you do, you’ll understand that it takes a lot to actually break the love and when you do, you’ll understand that it will take more than an obsessed fan to break it up.”

“She isn’t right for you!” Rio screamed, startling me a little.

“Right for me? No, she’s too right for me. I’m the one not right for her,” I said, trying to close the door on her.

“Don’t you dare,” she screeched, putting her arm in the way of the door to stop me from closing it.

“Rio, just fuck off,” I said, pushing her backwards and slamming the door shut.

“You’ll pay for this, George,” II heard her scream in the hallway outside the door. “She’ll pay for this!”

“Oh, fuck off,” I shouted, walking into the lounge.
