I awoke and was left in the medical center again. This time, I heard the doctors speaking in the other room. They spoke about my sudden rise in stress, trying to explain it off as the mission being too harsh. I clinched my medical robe tightly. The pain was fiscally gone, but I was just going to get worse. I got up and walked through the hall to my cell. I looked out a window on the way. It was glass with water looking into a coral reef. I took a step in fear back as a green light made its way into view. But as it got closer, I saw it was just a passing submarine.
"That was close," Sebastian said from, somewhere? I jumped at the sudden whisper. I looked around in search of him. I finally find him behind the glass, down beneath the wall where I can only imagine his only plain to not get caught, is to pray. "You shouldn't be here, Sebastian." I wanted to scream at him, cuss him out for this stupidity. I look around frantically. Was he really this dumb? To come here while there's an order to kill him on sight. "You need to stop disappearing without an explanation. It's really unflattering." He teased me with a stupid grin. He came up to my eye to eye, placing his forehead on the glass. I just glared at him. This is stupid shit that would get him killed.
"Alright, there is a reason I'm here." His smile softened as he pushed away from the glass. He then gestured as if he wanted me to follow him before swimming towards the direction I came from. I followed the best I could without looking suspicious. I was surprisingly only stopped by one guard before we got to a small locked room. "Hide and wait," he told me before entering a vent on his side of the glass. I hid the best I could in a small space between a vending machine and a large potted plant. After some waiting and concerningly loud banging from the vents, a code breaker falls from the ceiling onto the floor. I look up in hopes it's not broken, and surprisingly, it's fine. I grab it and notice a note. "I'll meet you inside!" It was written in a black ink and had a little smilie face in the corner. It did seem he attempted to draw himself at first, but that was scribbled out.
I make my way inside, locking the door back behind me. Looking around, it seemed to be an overly large janitors closet. But it definitely hadn't been touched in a while. Then, I see Sebastian struggling slightly to pull himself through the vent. "Hey, Y/n!" He almost yelled it, I'd beleave if the only reason he didn't is because of the small grunt he gave when he finally got his tail through. "Your friends told me you had a heart attack, so I came to see if you truly did have a heart!" He giggled after, turning to me seemingly for reaction. Instead, I just rushed up to him, giving him a hug. His breathing stopped for a moment, and then he hesitantly put his upper left arm on my head, then his remaining two on my back.
"In the void, what were you going to tell me?" I looked up at him, waiting for any response. But instead, he just looked at me confused, almost concerned. Did it never happen? Have I really gone through so much I'm hallucinating? His eyes widen. Little white pupils fade in with a soft glow. His face was adorable like this. His big round eyes stared at me as tears formed inside. He quickly shook his head and blinked it all away. "I wanted to warn you about your friends." He grabbed my shoulders. "One is in work with the prison and has told it about the loop." I start to panic. One of them is telling the facility about this? I step back in disbelief. I almost want to refuse the idea. I run through reasons they would. Eithan was probably scared and told them in hopes they'd help. Teile was probably given an offer to tell them things that could help and was doing what she saw fit. These are the reasons I landed on. Then I look up at Sebastian. "How do you know this?" He opened his mouth to answer, but then, I heard a small zap. He slammed his it shut as he recoiled, squinting his eyes in pain.
He looked at me, the pain dug deeper than surface. His ears drooped down
As he muttered. "That information is classified..." He turned around back to the vent he came from, beginning to crawl through before he looked at me briefly. "Be safe." he whispered before slithering his way back through to the outside. I backed away, placing my hand on the door in hesitation. I could only think of what could be controlling him to the point that a small shock made him do as they please. Then, I went to my cell. I laid on my bed, and I waited. Whether it be through death or completion. I waited for my friends to come back so we could try again. I closed my eyes. I couldn't stop thinking of his face, and because of it, I decided it'd be best if i didn't tell them I knew.
