Seonghwa POV:

The rest of the week went by in a blur, and it was now Friday evening. I had finished another late night shift at the coffee shop and just stepped off the train to stroll leisurely towards my apartment. A smile graced my face as a wave of pride washed over me for completing yet another week of work, earning my first paycheck that could actually be used for wanted things, rather than needed items.

Reaching the apartment in record timing, I couldn't help but replay the chance encounter with the mystery male, who I now happened to know was not only named Hongjoong, but was the grandson of the owner I cherished dearly as almost my own grandmother. My mind was reeling on the unbelievable level of luck that happened to bestow itself upon me, a feeling that was foreign and unknown.

Stepping inside and slipping off my shoes, my phone vibrated in my pocket, a clear indication of a message. Pulling out with warmth filling my chest, I silently read the words, a blush gracing on my cheeks as I absorbed each and every line.

"Hope you made it home safely, Seonghwa...I can't wait for tomorrow. Dress in something comfortable, and get a good night rest....sleep well okay?"-Hongjoong

"Aish..." I bit my lip, typing back a quick response before making my way towards the bedroom.

Ever since I gave him my number, we've exchanged a few messages that were teetering on the line between friendly and flirty, leaving the real questions for our date tomorrow. We both agreed to get to really know one another in person rather than virtually, and I honestly found that to be quite endearing. He would always make sure to grace me with both a message in the morning and in the evening, along with the occasional check in throughout the day. However, none of it was overwhelming, as we both knew that giving space to allow each other time to focus on our work was healthy.

Tomorrow would be my first date in years, and I wanted to make a lasting impression...

Once inside my bedroom, I trotted over to my closet and scanned over my options for an outfit. Quickly, I realized that my clothing options for tomorrow were limited and suddenly, anxiety began to creep up on me. "Shit, shit, shit!"

Just as I was about to pick out a few different things to try and attempt to create something suitable, there was three knocks on the door that caught my attention. Sighing to myself, I made my way out the room and glanced out the peephole, noticing that it was Yunho and Yeosang standing with smiles on their faces. With a curious raise in brow, I opened the door and tilted my head. "Hey guys? What's up?"

"We wanted to stop by and chill with you for a little bit since it's the weekend." Yunho smiled.

Yeosang held up a bucket and paper plates in his hands, which I already knew to have chicken inside of it as it began tradition for him to have every Friday. "And~~ I brought food."

"You mean you brought chicken, Yeo." I chuckled, moving out of the doorway to allow them a clear path in. "Come in...you two actually came at the right time."

This time Yeosang raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Why do you say that?"

I sighed, guiding the two towards the bedroom. "I need help picking out an outfit for something tomorrow..."

"No fucking way...let me guess, you have a date!" Yunho squealed excitedly, clapping his hands. "Am I right?!"

Rolling my eyes, I conceded. "...yes..."

Yeosang grew wide eyed before scoffing teasingly. "You been here for basically five days and managed to score a date? Talk about drastic changes."

"Ha-ha...are you going to help me or not?" I deadpanned.

Yunho shook his head, glancing at the few choices I had laid out on the bed in disapproval. "I'm sorry hyung, but you need to come to my apartment for clothes. This is your first date, and I refused to have you looking nothing less than amazing."

Despite knowing his intentions, I couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed about the lack of clothing. "...it's really that bad, huh?"

"What Yunho means," Yeosang punched the other in the arm with a scowl, "is that we just want you to look your best. By the way, what time tomorrow is the date? Maybe we can stop by the mall to have you shop for your own personal things instead of borrowing our clothes?"

"It's at two in the afternoon," I smiled, "you guys would come with me to do that? I actually got paid today and wanted to at least get some stuff I've wanted for a while now."

The two boys nodded with genuine enthusiasm. "Of course we would, and that's amazing! Let's go around ten in the morning, so you have enough time to get some stuff and get ready!" Yunho grinned.

"Sounds good to me."

Yeosang plopped down on the floor with his bucket and smirked. "Now that everything is settled, let's dig in. I'm starving."

As Yunho began to give each of us a plate, Yeosang placed the bucket in the middle to allow free choice in our desired pieces. It was the little things like this that made me cherish my friendships with the two males in front of me, along with the missing third one as well.

Amidst eating together, Yunho decided to spark up conversation with a question. "So, hyung...what's the name of the mystery guy you're going out with tomorrow?"

"It's...someone that I didn't expect..." I blushed, sighing softly, "it's my boss's grandson actually."

Yeosang raised an eyebrow before giving me a teasing smirk. "You agreed to go out with him knowing that? Didn't take you for someone to mix work with pleasure."

"Do we get a name of said mystery or grandson?" Yunho prodded further with an encouraging smile.

I shook my head. "I don't want to jinx anything, especially with my horrible luck. I rather get through the date and see if anything goes further..."

"You and your superstitions..." Yeosang muttered. "How many times do we have to tell you that you do not have bad luck, hyung? Stop that."

Yunho pouted. "You sound just like one of Mingi's friends...always so cryptic."

"Maybe he's a realistic person," I chuckled, "unlike you, who seems to be a hopeless romantic of sorts. It's what makes you, you." Taking a moment, I tilted my head in confusion. "Where is San? I'm surprised he didn't join you guys in ambushing me."

"First of all, rude..." Yeosang scoffed, "but he said something about finishing up paperwork earlier when I called. Who knows when he will be done."

Feeling comfortable with the answer, the three of us continued to enjoy the small meal together, allowing me to silently prepare myself for the day to come.
