Lianas POV
His blonde fluffy hair parted to emphasize his facial structure. Blue eyes poured into Liana's brown hues.
She had her mouth slightly opened slightly, still looking at him while he waited for a response. "Hi..." she said quietly with a smile.
He sat down next to her, smiling back. The fire made his blue eyes mix with a golden-orange reflection. He stood out in the dark. Liana looked at him while he settled down.
He bent his knees, resting his arms on them and looked at her. "You from here?" He asked.
Still surprised, she answered, "Yeah, I've been living here since I was little. Only 15 minutes away." Nervous wasn't enough to describe how she felt. His arms naturally flexed while draped around his knees.
"And you?" Liana asked, looking at the empty beer bottle in her hands then back at him. It was hard not to look at him. He had this calm aura. It made her comfortable, but yet even more shy. This comfortability was something she desperately needed right now.
"I'm from South Africa," he said. "More than 15 minutes away." His smile was contagious. Liana embarrassedly laughed.
"But you don't have an accent?" she curiously asked.
"Hmmm. My parents are both American, but I grew up in South Africa. I kind of just stuck with my parents' accent." He looked at his smart watch, switching it on.
"So why did you move here?" she asked him, fully invested in this beautiful Greek God's back story. He was quite sweet. That was rare to find. Manners and looks was something that a lot of people look for.
He reached over to one of the beer packs closest to him, cracking two beers open since he noticed hers was empty. She took the beer from his hand, lightly brushing his. Liana thanked him and quietly drank in the silence.
He leaned back and looked at her, drinking his own beer, "Just family things. This place is more of a new start." She could tell that this was a personal story. Even though she wanted to know more, she decided to keep to herself.
Liana stared into his eyes, curled up into a ball with her own arms hugging her legs, "I guess everyone needs a new start. Just don't understand why it would be here. This is a really shitty place."
"I see..." he grinned. "My dad just randomly chose. I'm not so sure that he made a bad decision," he smiled at me.
She looked at him. Her face started to heat up.
Liana smiled, looking back to the fire, feeling his eyes on her. Everyone was talking to each other around us, yet it felt like they were in a different world.
He said something, but her mind clouded that since he was the only thing that she could think of. "Hmm?" she asked, looking back at him with her head rested on her knees, beer on the side.
"Did you come alone?" He repeated, looking more handsome than a few seconds ago. Was that even possible?
"Uhm, no..." she said. It was a bit difficult to explain, she don't want it to sound like she was lonely. Because she wasn't. She has Gen... Her head turned to the now empty spot where they stood and looked back at him. "I came with a friend, but she had to leave early. She wasn't feeling well."
She felt embarrassed. Not because she had to lie, but cause she had to look like she had a purpose of being here. Liana only came because Gen begged her too. She didn't want to walk up to the girls alone and she wanted to look like she had friends.
Well, that friendship felt like shit.
"Did she have too much to drink, or...?" He asked, trying to lighten up the mood after noticing her absence.
