Sang

Sang tried not to smile at Sean's pout as they drove to the camp, pretty sure it was mostly for show.

"We could be a couple," he argued. "We could be a married couple who works together. That happens. We could have met when you weren't my nurse, got married, then you started working for me. Then we wouldn't be breaking any stupid HR laws."

"I don't think HR sets laws," Sang commented, looking out the window at all the trees they were passing. She'd never been near the campsite before—unsurprising since she'd gone almost nowhere before meeting the guys—but the area seemed pretty. "And wouldn't that be nepotism and still a problem?"

"Not if I have my own private practice, like we're claiming for this job. I get to do whatever I want for my practice. Except break my Hippocratic oath. So the next time we do a job where you play my nurse, you're going to be my wife."

He looked over to smile at her, his green eyes bright. "Assuming you're not already Mrs. Green by then, anyway."

She blushed at that, though couldn't help her smile or the happy fluttering in her chest.

His smile dropped suddenly as he pushed his head back against the head rest. "But if I have to go all summer without kissing you, I'm going to go crazy. You and I will have to consult about health stuff for the campers. Alone. A lot."

She giggled at that, though silently agreed with him. She hoped she didn't have to go the whole summer staying away from or being careful around all the guys all the time. Hopefully, they would find excuses to be alone sometimes. Though that shouldn't be her top priority. Still, she wanted Sean to know he wasn't alone in his thinking. Tentatively, she put a hand on his thigh. "I hope we can find time to be alone together too."

But the job came first. It was a little intimidating to have just finished the huge Ashely Waters project, which had basically taken the whole school year, and now they were jumping into a new job that might take all summer. Which wasn't nearly as long as the last job, but they wouldn't be able to go home at the end of the day to just be themselves with each other. They'd have to play the roles they'd been assigned the entire time. Which sounded exhausting.

Sang

Sang stood on the far end of a platform as the twin brothers who ran the camp, Kyle and Kevin, led orientation for all the campers, who were currently seated on stone amphitheater seats surrounding the platform. The owners were identical, both tall, toned, with brown hair bleached blond at the ends. The only thing different about them was their shirts.

"And in addition to our new counselors this year," Kyle said after introducing the five camp counselors, "we have Dr. Green and his nurse joining us at the camp."

Sean's lips tightened, Sang imagined because they hadn't even bothered with her name. She'd known the owners hadn't been overly thrilled to allow a woman to come to the camp, but she hadn't expected them to be unprofessional about it. She didn't mind that, really . . . but it was a lot harder to stomach all of the eyes on her. Not only were several of the campers looking her way, but the other counselors, standing on the opposite side of the platform, were too. Gavin, Wyatt, and Jared.

Gavin was the thinest, and was looking at her curiously until her eyes caught his. Then he blushed and hurriedly looked away. Wyatt gave her a friendly wave and a wink, which she tried to return with just a smile. She didn't want to encourage anything or do anything that might lead to rumors among the campers. Jared practically glared at her, seeming annoyed. Though maybe he was annoyed in general rather than annoyed with her being there.
