I reached home, punched in my code, and the door clicked open."Home sweet home," I sighed.
I unloaded my things into the storage area, feeling the weight lift off my shoulders. From the box, I took out my inhaler, a small piece of bread, and a glass of water.
As I tasted the water, it struck me how different it was from the water in my dream. The water in my dream had a taste I couldn't describe—something extraordinary, something I'd never experienced before. I wished I could go back to that dream, to that world where I felt truly happy.
"If there's a god out there, please help me get back there," I whispered, my voice filled with longing. It wasn't just a wish but a heartfelt request.
After finishing my small meal, I sat on the edge of my bed. I double-checked my alarm to make sure I wouldn’t be late for work. Everything was in place. I lay down, murmuring a prayer to return to the dream I so desperately wanted to revisit.
I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath in and letting it out slowly.
