Rexer then reached the school and heard singing coming from the music room and ran over to see Jake and Hailey singing a duet song they called "Starlight". The two finished and the club soon noticed a confused Rexer at the door.
Rexer: What happened?
Milly: Jake and Hailey said they wanted to do a duet for the band competition and we were like "You know what, let's do it".
Rexer then smiled at this and walked over to Jake and Hailey at that very moment.
Jake: Hailey wanted to do it so I decided to just support her choice because we haven't done a duet since Middle School.
Rexer: Yeah, I remember. You and Hailey were great out there.
Rexer, Jake, Hailey, Zander, and Luke's Middle School Years...
Jake was backstage with Hailey, Zander, and Luke who were with their instruments at that moment.
Jake: Alright you guys, we've been waiting for this moment since the start, we can't back down now.
Luke: Jake's right you guys. Rexer even gave Hailey a guitar and Jake will also be singing with her.
Hailey: We've gotta go out there and give them a performance they'll never forget!
Zander: Let's get going!
The curtains opened, music started and Hailey, Zander, and Luke played their instruments before Jake started singing.
Jake:
At the bottom of this restless dream, I've beenlying for eternity and a wish in my left hand hasfaded.
I still linger in the desolate world of endless rainsand dying hopes, in my right hand, there's a memoryas empty as my soul.
Jake and Hailey:
But when my strength is failing, you put yourfaith in me, again I'll stand up for the things that you and I hold dear.
Once again our hearts entwine, as I put my life onthe line.

Hailey then sang a solo of her own.
Hailey:
In this nebula it's you and me, embraced by theblue undying gleam, of the silent stars that we, havelit up.
And again our blazing hearts collide, as I watchthis uneasy night slip by, a forgotten child was ledastray, in search of distant light.
Jake and Hailey sang together the second time.
Jake and Hailey:
When fear is taking over and I'm feelingdefeated, your voice will give me strength restoremy faith in everything.
