when they woke up they were both so happy to be in the other's arms. nate's phone began to ring. "it's my dad, i should probably take this" nate explains, beginning to stand up ruining the comfortable position that they were sitting in. he answered the phone in the kitchen. "hey dad, what's up?" nate questions his father on the other end of the phone. "no dad, i can't do that- you have a problem! don't take the money from my account! dad- this isn't going to help you" nate speaks, sounding defeated. he hangs up the phone. elizabeth having heard nate's end of the conversation, she walked towards him and massaged his shoulders. "hey, what's going on? you can tell me." elizabeth consoles. "it's nothing. don't worry about it" nate says shortly. "nate, it didn't sound like nothing. you can trust me with whatever it is." she continues. "i told you it's nothing, now drop it" nate says angrily. "listen, you are always looking out for everyone else- now let me look out for you" beth presses. "it's not something i want to talk about! stop pushing it" he yells. "fine, maybe i'll just head back to new york." beth finalizes, walking to the bedroom to grab her clothes. "elizabeth, wait- i'm sorry. i- i just-" he sighs. "well, my dad has a drug problem. he was asking for money from me- he needs help- i don't know what to do" nate caves. "i'm so sorry nate! should we talk to your mom?" elizabeth suggests. "that's the thing, she already knows- she is in denial. she would rather believe that i am the one with the drug problem than her husband." nate explains. "well, for now the best i can offer you is a distraction. but i will help you somehow, just give me time" elizabeth says warily. "i wasn't telling you to put pressure on you, i was telling you so we could be honest with each other" nate smiles weakly. "and as for that distraction, it sounds like a great idea" nate adds. "how about day drinking and baking?" beth plans. "you know what happened last night when we tried to cook!" nate questions. "exactly, distraction. and pleasure" she laughs. "you grab the alcohol, i'll find something that we can make." beth demands playfully. "yes ma'am" nate laughs. some baking did in fact occur until both beth and nate had actually gotten buzzed. then, they started getting handsy. nate picked beth up and placed her on the kitchen island, putting his hands all over her body. he gripped her thigh as he began to makeout with her, her hands in his hair. "mmh- nate- we should take this to the bedroom" beth says between moans. "of course," nate says picking her up and carrying her to his bedroom where he placed her on the bed and got on top of her. he took his shirt off and beth couldn't keep her hands or eyes off of him. things only got more heated from there. nate wanted a distraction and that was exactly what he had gotten. nate had lied down next to beth, panting. meanwhile on gossip girl:

golden boy and bass princess both are nowhere to be seen in manhatten, coincidence? i think not.

both nate and beth's phones go off and they check them. "why don't we ever get a break from gossip girl? it's not fair" beth complains. "yeah, it is kind of annoying." nate agrees. "maybe we should head back tonight? just so that we don't miss anymore school- with ivy week being next week we should probably keep up appearances." nate continues. "i guess so, i just like being alone with you" beth pouts. "me too beth, please don't get me started again- i just want to kiss you again and once i do that i don't know if i could stop myself." nate explains.

later on, elizabeth and nate are cleaning up the kitchen. "where are you going to stay once we get back to the upper east side?" nate asks. "well, i was thinking of asking either blair or serena if i could crash with them for a while, daddy is the last person i want to see right now" elizabeth plans. "as long as i can still see you, and maybe hang out with you" nate smiles. "of course nate!"

once everything was cleaned up and it looked like nobody had been here, beth and nate hit the road. they drove back to new york.
