Me and Royal both walked outside the exam room, Royal with worried looks and as for me a new outlook. Neither positive nor negative, it was merely a reflection of how my actions were carried out. We waited for a good while before Veronica arrived back with us explaining what would happen next.
"I congratulate you both on performing well. No matter what this test will merely determine your rank so there are no losing battles here, do remember this."
She's saying that to cheer Cloudy up. She really can read the room quite well, I hope Cloudy recognizes that.
"There's one more test. It will be quite fast so no need to worry yourselves. There also isn't much effort on your side."
"Huh? What is it then? It's a test so is it about knowledge?"
"No. It's to determine your level of energy, aura or magic. However you see it as."
"How does it work?"
"We are heading over there as we speak. It's straightforward, all that is required of you is to place your hand over an orb like you had to take your ID. It will measure your energy level and with the data from the last test it will grant you a total rank."
"What are these ranks you speak of?"
"Hmm.. Good question. Think of it as authority. Those with higher authority are the strong and save others while taking on dangerous missions. Those with lower ranks assists the higher ranks and do safer missions that don't pose as much danger albeit the pay is less. I'll explain more after this next test. Now head on inside."
We arrived to find another door at the end of a long hallway where we could barely see the main area of the guild. Moving on inside was a small room, capable of holding a maximum of five people with a small orb in the middle.
"Step up and place your whole palm on the orb, don't let go until you're advised too."
I watched Royal immediately step up without hesitation as Veronica explained a bit more in detail of what he may see.
"There are ranks to this as well but not as important since the main rank is what discerns the adventurer. Here take this and use it as reference."
She handed out a piece of paper to me and Royal explaining what the orb does in the process of calculating energy.

Black: It's most normal and basic state. If the orb does not change after a few moments once placing your palm it means one of two things.
1. You haven't unlocked your energy.
2. You have extremely low affinity with aura/magic.
Green: The most average amongst the adventurers that take this test. This means you have a common affinity with aura/magic and can utilize it for a small period.
[Small period meaning: Anywhere between 1-5 minutes.]
Orange: An above average level amongst the adventurers that take this test. This reveals that you posses a rarer affinity with aura/magic and can utilize it for long periods at a time.
[Long period meaning: Anywhere between 15-60 minutes.]
Yellow/Blue: This color is quite unique and can even change shades ranging from yellow, light blue to dark blue. As of currently we are unsure why this happens but as long as you reach this state it shows great potential. This announces that you wield an unique affinity with aura/magic and can utilize for extensive amounts of time.
