Chimney says something that opens bucks eyes to what is going on between buck and eddie.

Buck knew chimney was just teasing but it did make buck think about how true it was. 
They had all been at the Christmas party and chimney had a little too much eggnog. 
He came to buck while eddie was in the bathroom and said something that flipped buck's life upside down. 
"You and eddie should kiss under the mistletoe. Your always together and I know you like him so go stand under it." Chimney said and then Maddie stole him to kiss under it themselves 
Soon eddie was back and buck couldn't think so he acted as if nothing happened.
When he got home buck couldn't help but think about it. He knew he had feeling for eddie but thought he hid them better.
He always pushed them down because it was never the right time. He was getting over Abby and then Taylor happened and eddie found ana.
After that they just didn't date. It was an unsaid decision between them. Chris never liked any of their dates so they never lasted long. 
The next day at work he wanted to just avoid eddie but knew he couldn't. 
They were work partners and everyone would know something is up. He tries to act normal but he can't help but notice things
He and eddie always sit together when eating a the station. He tells himself that everyone had their spots and that left them by eachother. 
Then he noticed how eddie will press their legs together while in the truck. When eddie pulls his legs away buck feels the need to press his own legs into Eddie's.
The thing that stood out to him was how close they are when they walk. Their arms brush often and their hands could hit eachother if they reached just a little. 
Outside of work he noticed how touchy eddie is. Eddie barely touches the others on the team in or out of work but is constantly putting his hand on bucks shoulder or back while he talks. 
Eddie will place a hand on bucks lower back when things get intense and his shoulder when trying to calm buck down.
Then the last thing he didn't think about but Maddie brought it up. He and Maddie were having a sleepover together. 
Maddie sent chimney and jee to hen's house who was more then willing to hangout with her bestfriend and his adorable daughter. 
They were eating snacks and sitting on the couch just chatting. "Eddie is an amazing dad. Chris is adorable and sweet." Buck says smiling to himself at the thought of them
"So what's the problem?" She asks sipping her wine
"The problem is I'm in love with eddie but can't tell him because they are too important to lose" Buck says sighing
"Buck your an idiot" Maddie says making him look at her. 
"What? How?" He asks and she puts her glass down
"He made you Christopher's legal gardian you dont just make anyone that. You have to love them to do that" she says and he is speechless 
"otherwise why did he pick you and not hen or me who have more experience with kids? He knows chris loves you and he loves you too" Maddie says and his brain starts working again 
"That can't-" he tries to refuse it but as he thinks about it he thinks she might be right
There are others who are close to eddie and would take care of chris if anything happened yet he chose buck.
"Maybe your right" Buck ways and Maddie bumps him with her shoulder
"I am. What brought this up anyway? You finally realize your boy crush on eddie?" She teases and he rolls his eyes 
"Actually your husband said something that got me thinking which lead here" he says and she smiles
"Tell him buck." She said and he look at the floor
"What if your wrong?" He asks and she sighed
"What if nothing. We could go over what ifs forever. Go tell him" she said and he stood up
"Thank you maddie" he says and leaves to find eddie
He checks the calender which is another sign that they are inseparable they share the same calender. 
He sees that chris has an after-school meeting so he goes to chris' school. When he goes inside he is stopped. 
"Who are you here for?" They ask seeing he didn't have a kid with him
"Chrisopher diaz" Buck says easily
"A parent has already come in for him. Are you the other parent?" The guy asks and buck isn't sure what to say
On paper he is the legal gardian if anything happens to eddie but thst doesn't make him a parent. 
Before he can speak eddie and chris show up. "Buck" chris shouts and rushes for buck who gladly takes him into his arms 
Eddie hears chris and let's chris rush off while he finishes talking to the teacher. 
Eddie then joins them to sign him and chris out. "Hey I didn't get a text you were coming otherwise I would have waiting to go in" eddie says and buck smiles
"I forgot to send one" Buck says and eddie finishes the paperwork handing it to the man
Chris fell asleep in buck's arms at some point between eddie signing out and them walking to Eddie's truck
Buck was walking ahead of eddie who was just watching his son sleep peacefully on bucks shoulder. 
Once chris is put in the truck the Teo adults stand outside the car for a few moments before buck was speaking
"I came here not to go to chris' meeting but to tell you something" Buck says figuring its now or never
If it didn't work out eddie could leave and buck could drive straight to a bar. 
"What's up?" Eddie asks calmly not realizing buck is nervous 
"I'm- I'm in love with you" Buck says it so quickly he isn't even sure eddie heard it but when he looks at eddie he knows he heard it. 
Eddie's eyes are wide as be just stares at buck. Buck can't look away or speak. After a few moments of silently staring eddie finally speaks
"I love you too" eddie says and buck is the one suprised this time. 
"Really? Me?" Buck asks and eddie smiles
It was pretty much the same response buck had the first time eddie told him he was badass under pressure. 
"Yea you" eddie said smiling as he steps closer. 
Buck doesn't step away but does tense a little. Their faces only a few inches apart. 
Suddenly they are both moving and meet on the middle for a kiss. The kiss is soft and sweet but filled with passion and devotion. 
The boys try and pour every ounce of unsaid love into the kiss. When they pull away they are panting. 
"You wanna come home with us?" Eddie asks and buck smiles
"I have my jeep but I'll follow you home" Buck responded and eddie nodded
"How did you figure out you loved me?" Eddie asks and buck smiled
"Chimney said something that made me look a little closer into our connection. We are never far from eachother we are like magnets that only attract eachother" Buck says and eddie chuckles
"Magnets?" Eddie says but kisses buck again anyway 
"I'll follow you" Buck said once they pulled apart and then got in his jeep which he parked near Eddie's truck
Eddie drove ahead of him leading them home. Eddie knew his son was going to be over the moon when he finds out his dad and his buck are together.
