park aream frowned as she looked outside her bedroom window, gazing over the gloomy and wet weather. it was supposed to be a sunny day, but the weather app decided to be stupid, and predicted the day to be a sunny day.

the 17 year olds family finally moved back to korea from seattle after their parent's big job opportunity. they moved when aream was 13, so it's already been 4 years back, but still, it's hard for the girl to get used to it.

aream was a smart girl, being able to skip a grade high school. this means that she's in the same grade as her brother, but being younger than most people.

she stood in front of her full body mirror that is used for dancing, looking at her outfit that she planned the day before. the pieces of clothing were dangling at the side of her gaming chair. it was a light blue, full body dress with a white scarf. aream sighed, knowing that if she wore it to school, it would be way too cold and soaking wet at the end of the day.

she flipped through her closet, hoping to find something more comfortable and suiting for the rain. she decided on hoodie and sweats, a classic. although the color reminded her of the pouring rain, she admired the fully grey clothing.

aream unplugged her computer that was sitting on the floor, and stuffed it in the computer pocket of her backpack. the bag was a vans backpack with a flowery design. she bought it during the summer on a trip back to america.

she grabbed her violin and hanged her name tag on it. there was a problem last year with instruments getting stolen, and she didn't want it to happen to her either. she brought an extra lock for her violin locker as well.

remembering about the weather outside, aream decided to bring an umbrella, in case it's still gonna rain after school.

she quickly went to her bathroom to wash up. she brushed her teeth and washed her face. just as she was finishing her skincare, her mom knocked on her bathroom door.

"aream ya, breakfast is ready. you wouldn't want to be late to your first day of school."

"okay, i'll be out in a second, thanks mom."

aream flashed a quick smile at her mom and went back to start doing her makeup. she had watched countless tiktoks about how to make her makeup look a lot better and cute. but it was a lot harder than she thought. maybe she should've practiced before.

as she was drawing on her eyeliner, she heard her mom yelling at her older brother to get up, knowing there was less than an hour before they had to leave.

park gunwook, being an almost full grown adult, whined to their mom to give him 5 more minutes, going back to sleep.

aream snickered, laughing at the thought about how her brother said he was the most "mature," being older than her by a year. this messed up her eyeliner. she groaned while wiping away her mistake with a cotton pad.

spraying on her setting spray, aream finished with her makeup. she checked her full fit and face through the mirror. she nodded in approval as she was satisfied.

she walked out the bathroom and she grabbed her school bag. once she got downstairs, she put her water bottle in the side pocket and saw the breakfast her mom has made for the siblings.

it was bacon, eggs, and sausage, very american, aream thought. she assumed it was their mom trying to make her feel better about the new school year, and it was working as she smiled at the meal.

she sat down and started scrolling on her phone. as she was eating her meal, gunwook finally came downstairs with wet hair and stared at his sister.

"what?" aream asked, annoyed from her brother's stares.
