SHIMLA, HIMACHAL PRADESH..

She woke up rubbing her eyes as sun rays fell over her face. Looking at the clock, she sighed removing the blanket off her body.

Being a medical intern is not easy and this could be known by seeing the dark circles under her eyes.

Yes, it was her dream to become a doctor, what could be more amazing than the feeling of being able to treat someone? saving someone's life and making them stand on their feet is her dream.

Dhriti Sharma is interning from one of the best hospitals in Shimla as a physiotherapist. Her schedule is hectic, indeed but she loves her work and worships it.

She got off the bed and did her morning routine.

Dhriti is a name which is popular among her friend circle. She is the eye candy of her friends. Her carefree and caring nature attract people especially boys but she has some rules already set and not having a boyfriend till she becomes a physiotherapist is one of them.

"DHRITI." She heard her mom yelling from downstairs, her yelling makes her more anxious even if she is not late. She grabbed her bag and ran downstairs.

"Good morning, Papa." She greeted her father sweetly and kissed him on the cheeks.

It's her routine to give morning kisses to her parents. They are her life, her parents especially her father as he never let her feel as if she is their daughter.

He always treats her like his son. Having no siblings, sometimes things do get tough but she has learnt handling them now.

"Morning Maa." She then kissed her mother but earned a glare from her, rolling her eyes she let out a sigh.

"I am not late!" She stated taking her seat beside her father.

"What's for breakfast?" Dhriti asked her Dheeraj, her father.

He gave her a bored look and by looking at his expression she already knew the breakfast was not going to be tasty.

"What?" She asked in whisper.

"Karela." Her mother said taking both of them by suprise.

"Why?" She asked.

"His blood pressure was high last night?" Riva, her mother complained.

"What? And you are telling me now." Dhriti looked at her parents disappointingly.

Her father has bp issues as well as diabetes but sometimes he doesn't take them seriously and then regrets later.

"You were tired. I...I didn't want to disturb you." Riva answered.

"Seriously?" She scoffed shaking her head.

"I will meet Deepak Uncle on my way. Take very good care of him." She said grabbing an apple.

"Atleast have your breakfast." Dheeraj shouted but she refused saying she was getting late.

The weather was pleasant. The sun was not too hot as it was almost autumn.

"Dhriti." She looked back and found her best friend Akshat.
